I Loves You Never Last Forever | Mike Wheeler x reader

Y/N POV
I was in my boyfriend Mike's basement, the others went home but I was staying over.

I sighed as he let go, walking to pick up his walkman.

"Hey, anybody there? Lucas, Dustin, Will?" He paused at the last part, waiting for a reply.

He sighs, walking back to the couch awkwardly putting an arm around me. "Hey, is it cool if I cancel our plans for tomorrow?" He breaks the silence, rubbing the back of his neck.

I frowned, "Oh. Uh-"

He started shaking his leg up and down, "It's okay. We can still go. I kind of wanted to check up on, El." He replied my frown becoming even more visible.

He scanned my face, eyes softening realizing the facial expression I had on. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked me sympathetic.

"Nothing, I'm just tired. And it's fine you can check El tomorrow, I'll just hang out with Max." As I said this a light smile tugged onto his cheeks.

"Thanks, Y/N/N. I knew you would understand."

I slowly nodded. "Hey, I'm really tired I'll be in you're room."

He hugged me, "Goodnight, Y/N/N. Love you."

I smiled, "I love you too. Goodnight Mike."

Next morning

I woke up seeing Mike wasn't next to me. I saw a white paper that looked like it had writing on it on his desk.

I slowly got up yawing as I did. I picked up the note reading it,    'Dear Y/N
                       I am on my way to check on El
                       now. Help yourself to any food or  
                       take any clothes from Nancy, she
                       wouldn't mind. She loves you.
                                    From, Mike.'

I shrugged trying to ignore the fact I was hurting, but ignored it. I decided to go for a walk since I had nothing else to do.

I slipped into the same clothes I wore yesterday and combed out my hair. I grabbed a breath mint, putting on my converse and walking out the door.

As I was walking I took a glimpse of the park which looked like someone familiar.

Wait. Is that?

My eyes widened. My heart felt like it was getting shattered into a million pieces.
