Nine Years Ago... Christmas Eve...

"Jenduck, you know your mom scares me!" Jisoo whined as they entered the brunette's bedroom, closing the door behind her.

Jennie laughed. "Excuse me for having to use the bathroom," she replied sarcastically. When the raven arrived, she was forced to wait for Jennie; left in the company of Ms. Kim Chaerin.

"Ugh! I feel like she is sizing me up when she looks at me. Like she's seeing how much meat she can get out of me," the raven explained as she flopped down onto the bed.

"Well she probably is," Jennie replied in amusement. "But she was in a particularly cheerful mood today. Her and Irene made an important deal at work or something," she continued taking a seat next to Jisoo.

"That was her in a cheerful mood?" Jisoo stared in disbelief. Jennie smirked. "Gotta love her."

Jisoo shook her head before pulling her bag onto her lap and removing a small wrapped present. She then shoved it onto the brunette's lap as the excitement in her began to overflow. She let out a squeak.

"You couldn't make it five minutes," Jennie chuckled before taking the gift into her hands.

"It's Christmas presents! How could you possibly wait?" she defended with a squeal.

The brunette cringed. "I hope it comes with earplugs because if you keep making those high pitched noises, I'm gonna go deaf."

"Jenduk!" she complained with furrowed brows.

"Okay, okay," Jennie said as she tore away the wrapping paper. She stared down at it, a smile slowly growing on her lips. She looked back up to see Jisoo holding her breath in anticipation. "You bought me a star?"

The full grin of the raven was unleashed. She nodded eagerly and squealed again. "Now you have your own piece of the night sky!"

Jennie looked back down at the plaque in front of her. With it was a certificate and a map explaining where it was located. She let out a chuckle and shook her head. "This is amazing," she said before locking eyes with Jisoo again. "If I get that telescope I've been asking for, this is the first thing I'll be looking for. Thank you."

Jisoo felt her heart melt from the words. She knew the brunette was a night owl. She always has been. Jennie was always the stargazer; always somewhere billions of miles away. Somehow always out of reach.

Jennie reached under her bed and felt around before pulling out a box with a single bow on top of it. She handed it to the raven rubbing the back of her neck as Jisoo took it with a grin. She tore off the lid and froze. Inside was a bracelet. And on it, was a pikachu charm. She grinned back at Jennie, who seemed to be trying to avoid eye contact.

"You got me a bracelet," Jisoo announced, still grinning.

"Uh,yeah," she replied as she started rubbing her neck again. "You got me a pikachu bracelet."

"Yeah, I know," Jennie said with slight annoyance as she finally looked at her. She felt her cheeks turning red from the look Jisoo was giving her. Her eyes were shining, and her smile went soft. Jennie was getting lost in the sight. She was beautiful. She already knew that. Maybe she always knew that. But seeing and feeling the adoration the young woman had for the brunette; it was time stopping.

Jisoo broke the eye contact and took out the bracelet; holding her wrist out to Jennie. "Can you help me?" she asked sweetly. The brunette still was unable to form words, so she nodded instead. Her fingers lightly touched Jisoo's soft, smooth skin. She forced a swallow after missing the clasp a few times before finally succeeding.
