Chapter Nine

"Wolfypaw, wake up!" She felt someone nudging her.

She sat up. She remembered her encounter with StarClan!

"Did anyone dream about the Stars?" Berryheart asked.

"I heard some whispering." Zephyrpaw mewed. "But I thought they were you guys."

"I saw shapes but they were so faint." Tullippaw mewed.

"I saw peace and serenity." Gently mewed Yarrowheart.

"I saw darkness then stars in a place I've never been before." Berryheart admitted.

"StarClan came to me." Murmured Wolfypaw. "I met with Firestar, Bluestar and Yellowfang."

Yarrowheart pricked her ears. "What did they say to you?"

"They told me to have courage, faith and judge by my moral compass." Wolfypaw mewed.

"Did they say anything about the prophecy?" Zephyrpaw asked.

"No. They only told me to have faith in them." Wolfypaw mewed. She looked up in the sky and thought she saw the stars winking at her.

They walked away from the pool and headed back towards the guards.

"Any signs?" Snowydeath asked.

"Yes Wolfypaw spoke to Bluestar, Firestar and Yellowfang." Berryheart mewed.

"What did they say?" Asked Snowydeath.

"They told me to have courage, faith and trust my moral compass." Wolfypaw answered.

"Okay, should we head back?" Snowydeath mewed.

"Yes." Yarrowheart led the way to the border.

"Goodbye Yarrowheart. Thank you for letting us visit the stars." Snowydeath mewed, politely.

"No problem. Come back soon to visit." The old cat rasped.

She flicked her tail to signal Zephyrpaw to follow her.

"We'll meet at the next gathering." Promised Zephyrpaw.

"Okay, bye." Wolfypaw gave his ear a lick.

Wolfypaw watched as Yarrowheart and Zephyrpaw both walked away.

"Be careful of that apprentice." Snowydeath warned. "We don't want you two getting too close."

"What do you mean? We're just friends." Wolfypaw mewed.

Snowydeath raised her eyebrows skeptically. "Suuuure. But don't let anyone find out." With that, she bounded away to the head of the patrol.

She's losing it. He's only my friend. She thought. Or is he?

Berryheart POV

"Did they tell you anything?" Venomstar asked Berryheart.

"They didn't tell me anything, they told Wolfypaw quite a lot of things, though." Berryheart mewed.

Berryheart narrowed her eyes. "I don't know why the stars chose to send her a message instead of me." She growled.

"Go get her. Oh, and Berryheart? Stop mumbling." Venomstar hissed.

"Fine. Brother." She spat, emphazing the word 'brother'. Yes they were kin. Yes they had the same parents. But was he bossy and annoying? Yes he was.
