Memories from yesterday played in my head over and over again. I sat in bed hugging my knees, seeing the scrapers terrified me. "Magnolia?" Riven asked coming into my room. "Hey.." He says coming to hug me.
I finally broke down. This was the first time anyone has seen me cry. "I can't do this anymore, Riv. Everyday is getting worse."
"You're the strongest fairy, I know. You can fight this."
"Seeing Beatrix like that, then actually getting attacked felt horrible. I don't know what I'd do if Beatrix had died, she's my best friend."
"Come on, your dad's looking for you."
He brought me to the Specialist training area. "What did my dad want?"
"Nothing, just thought you needed fresh air."
"Thank you, twice." He looked at me confused. "I never got to thank you for bringing me back to school. I can barely remember anything."
"Uh, yeah, you were out cold. I chucked you over my shoulder and got the fuck out of there."
"You chucked me?" I giggle.
"I'm sorry. I'll be more delicate next time I'm saving your ass from fucking monsters." I look down. "Woah."
"What?"
"I literally had this conversation with Musa earlier." He smiles.
"You like her, oh my God."
"What? No."
"Yes you do."
"Shut up. Also, Sky's looking for you. In our room."
I walk to Sky's room. "Sky?"
"Hey, how're you feeling?"
"Better. I was the lucky one. I still have every one of my powers besides my empath powers."
