Lucrezia's wedding dress (multimedia)
For the first time in days, Sam did not have to lay awake wondering about his son.
Jessica did not sob though the night.
And Dean felt as if he a some piece of mind.
Granted, Adrian was not home in here arms, but they were a step closer to finding him. The Winchesters were no longer in the dark.
After their tension filled dinner, Castiel got straight to business. Come morning, more than six angles were gathered around the dinning room table attempting to determine exactly when the missing boy was.
By noon all three humans had awaken and showered. They had joined the militaristic group in the dinning room to map out the missing Winchester.
After hours of listening in on the Army of Angles, Alfie interrupted the conversation, "Commander sir, we have information on the Winchester boy."
Jessica could feel her heart stop beating. My son is coming home, she thought. "Well, get on with it." Confidence surged though her veins, causing her to speak up in a room full of angles.
All attention was on Alfie, causing Jessica to miss the smile of pride sent her way from Castiel.
"Commander, the boy has been rumored to be in the Fourth Ring." Although Alfie was a clam, the fear was evident in his voice.
"The Forth Ring, Crowley's realm? I knew that damn prat couldn't be trusted!" A dark skinned angel shouted from his seat next to Castiel.
"Yes Uriel, but now we must form a battle plan. Crowley is a creature or habit..." Immediately, Castiel jumped into work. He left no time to wait.
After four hours and still no plans, Castiel had decided to end the meeting for the day. Every angel was spitting up ridiculous ideas and it was just exhausting, for someone who doesn't sleep. So once again, the Winchester family found themselves sat in the dinning room eating dinner.
The room was silent until Sam decide to ask a question that had been on everyone's mind since last night. "Castiel, if you don't mind me asking, but why exactly are you and Lucrezia married. You don't seem to love each other, yet I could be mistaken." Sam shyly asked, for mid-sentence he realized that Cas could probably kill him with a flick of his fingers; so he figured it was probably best not to offend him.
The angel did not answer his question immediately. Sam opened his mouth to retract his question when Cas answered.
"You are right, we don't love each other; in fact we despise one another. But neither of us had a choice in the marriage. My people had just ended a war when I came to power, we needed extra hands and information. Demons from the Fourth Ring were threatening us angels with a very powerful tablet, the Angel Tablet. That one tablet could have been our extinction.
"But then, my second in command, Balthazar, came up with a plan. At the time there was a woman who was impartial to either cause, the Queen of the Second Realm, Lucrezia. Balthazar's plan was for Lucrezia and I to marry and provide each side with protection and information. So, after our wedding both of our armies stormed into the Forth Ring and took back the tablet. And in agreement, us Angels do not interfere with her business and she provides us with information in Hell. All as long as our marriage is upheld."
Complete silence swept over the dinning room.
No sound of forks or knives on the plates.
No sound of chomping and chewing.
Just silence.
"So not a good ceremony I guessing?" Sam joked trying to lighten the mood.
A smile stretched across Castiel's face as he let a chuckle erupted from his lips, "No actually, the ceremony was beautiful. It was a real bash. And the wedding night wasn't horrible ether." He winked.
Envy bubbled in Dean's chest, for unknown reasons. He hasn't felt this was since he was in high school, he continued to eat trying to avoid he aching heart.
Castiel and Jess swapped wedding stories and details for the rest of dinner. Dean's face cringed, as his appetite was lost for the night.
