"Jesus! Wendigo!" Alex cried. Harry jumped like a cat attacking her hunt and reached for his knife.

"Who's there?" his voice trembled. "Show us yourself".

The horn moved again and they saw a beast.

"Just a beast, nothing supernatural." Alex itched his chin with torch.

The beast stood there for some seconds and then disappeared among the trees. Harry picked up his backpack "enough, lets go and find the house".

They continued searching for the house. At this part of the woods, ground was covered with tussocks. There were fewer trees and they couldn't see their feet because of smooth ground fog.

"Watch where you step your feet" Alex warned.
"Suppose we find the house, what would you do next" Harry asked.

"No idea, maybe I met my nightmare in reality...who knows" Alex shrugged.

The fog had made their pace slower.

Alex tried to jump over something that he supposed to be a stone."Can you remember our first ghost hunting?"

"We spent all the day in woods to find bones, coins or anything that we think was related to a dead person." Harry smiled.

"I loved those days, we were only children who feared nothing" Alex sighed.

It was eleven. They'd passed the tussocks and now their weary feet could feel a flat ground. Harry took out two chocolates from his backpack.

They rested and ate them. Harry changed his torch's batteris. His back pain had come back to him again after one mouth.

They talked about their childhood for the next two hours. Harry told everything about Jo's death and how their live changed after the tragedy. And the truck driver who had fled from the scene and a week later Harry read in newspapers that the driver committed suicide in his bathroom.
Alex had never seen Jo. She had died before he met Harry for the first time.

It was the coldest night in summer Alex thought, but they didn't have enough time to set fire.

After walking two miles Alex saw a faint light in distance."Can you see that light," he asked excitedly.

He pointed out the place with his forefinger.
"Finally we find it" Harry felt anxiously.
They approached the place cautiously. Trees at this part were different from those that they saw. Their branches were like claws that were ready to catch any beings passing in front of them. A big, white house with broken windows was among weird trees. The dim light came from a room at second floor.

"Is that __"

Alex looked at it with open mouth "Yeah, It's the house in my nightmers with every details."

"So your dad was right" Harry paused for a moment and then said"And it means your nightmare is real too."

Alex felt something unpleasant in his stomach. If the house was real, so the killer or the girl in shadow were real too.
