Alice woke up with a gasp while recalling every minute of her peculiar dream. she got out of bed and started getting dressed into her blue jeans and her shirt white a white rabbit wearing a waist coat on, with one question constantly going round in her head: 'was that really a dream.' after 15 minutes of solid thinking Alice shook it of. it was then that a familiar smell wafted into her room, the smell of pancakes cooking, a smile instantly appeared on her face. he knew her so well.

Alice went downstairs and say at the breakfast bar waiting for her father to finish making the pancakes.
"Thanks a ton dad." alice said as her dad placed a plate of pancakes in front of her.

A few years ago it would have been Alice's mother making her breakfast and helping her out, but her had divorced and alice now lived with her father.

"It's no problem Alice, besides I'm the only one in this house that can cook." her dad remarked in a cheerful tone.

"That's far from true," Alice said sternly "but anyway what's making you so happy."

"You know I love you Alice?"

"Of course I do, I'm you daughter."

"Well I just got a new job..."

"That's great!" Alice interrupted her dad smiling from ear to ear.

"Yes but there's a catch, the job is in Australia and I've got to leave for the airport at lunch and it'll be a month till I return."

Alice's smile faded, she loved her dad too much to be away from him for that long. "well I can come with you cant I?"

"I'm afraid not, the company is paying for my ticket and I can't afford another."

Alice smiled slightly and nodded in understanding. once she finished her pancakes she got up and walked into the garden, her fake smile becoming real as she felt the breeze against her skin and the bird chirping in the fruited, summer trees.
A rustle came from the bushes, as Alice walked over there she could swear she saw a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat.

"Alice I have to go now!" Alice's dad called her distracting her from the bush and converting her gaze to her father.

Alice walked back into the house forgetting all about that little white rabbit, thinking it was just a part of her somewhat outgoing imagination.

"Bye dad!" Alice said while hugging her father.

Her dad waved as he got into the waiting taxi. Alice sighed as it drove off taking her father okay from her. she was alone for the next month. Alice had never been the most sociable child and preferred to write and draw in the garden. she sighed as she walked into the garden and sat on the damp grass absorbing the sunlight. soon her mind filled with mysterious creatures, most of which she recognised, she just didn't know where from.

...She knew she had seen that rabbit before.

As thoughts came into her head she drifted of into a deep sleep.
