Shatter

Prologue

I was sitting on my couch with my best friend, Harry. Everyone else had left, so it was just us two. At the time I'd had no idea this night would have any significance or meaning. It did.

"So, Harry, what do you want to do?" I asked.

"Well, Maybe we could just talk? I've kind if got to tell you something." Harry replied, looking into my light violet eyes with his emerald ones.

"Sure, what's up?"

"You're going to hate me, I just know it. But I promised myself I would tell you."

I was starting to get scared. He looked nervous, he was fidgeting with his hands, it was freaking me out.

"What is it, Harry?"

"I- Well.." He took a lock of my golden hair in his fingers and fiddled with it.

" Anna I'm in love with you. "

My eyes grew ten sizes. He loved me? Had I heard him correctly? This was crazy.

"Told you. You hate me don't you?" He whispered softly. He'd dropped my hair and was now staring at the light fabric of the couch.

" I- I don't hate you. I'm just a bit surprised. You love me?"

I started thinking about this. About Harry. About his sweet personality and how kind and adorable he was. About how he was my best friend who I'd never thought of ' that way ' and had never suspected he'd had feelings for me. But then I realized something. I realized something ridiculous and stupid.

I realized I loved Harry too.

"Harry I - " I was cut off.

"Anna please, before you turn me down, please, just let me see something?" Harry murmured softly as he looked in my eyes.

I watched him as he leaned in, and when our lips touched i felt a rush go through my entire body.

I didn't want to stop kissing Harry. It was incredible. We were sitting on my couch with our lips in perfect unison for a few moments before Harry pulled away and smiled.

"Why haven't we been doing this the whole time?"

Idk I was lying in bed and I thought of this story.
