Lonely.

Mafuyu's POV.

I walk to school early. For some reason the archery club had an early in the morning meeting. I don't know what could be so important about archery that they'd need to do that but here I am. Standing in front of the door to the archery club at 7:am. I shake my head and open the door ready to greet everybody with my classic cheery smile and demeanor when I'm met with much more people in the room than the archery club could ever fit.

"Hello everybody! What are we all doing here?" I ask.

"Oh hey Mafuyu! Just in time. We're announcing something to our students and the club members get early accessed info as you know!" One of the teachers said to me. I never bothered to remember their names.

"Oh! Ok! Thanks miss." I take a seat next to some girl I helped with her homework yesterday. Again I couldn't be bothered with names.

"So as you all know this school is a very popular and quite rich one as well." The teacher begins. Sounds like bragging to me. "We can fit many students in our school and some classes are even missing some students due to transferring and stuff like that."

Somebody raised their hand.

"Yes?" The teacher asked.

"Isn't that normal though?" The student asked.

"We'll yes usually it's fine if there's a few missing spots but it seems to be a really big problem this year for some reason." The teacher explained. "So we are going to be opening applications to join the school!"

Strange thing to do. Especially in the middle of the school year. I should just play along though.

"That's a wonderful idea miss! I think this school will benefit from some more company!" I clap my hands together with a huge smile on my face.

"We think so to!" The teacher smiles while other students are busily expressing their opinions and thoughts on the idea as well. Mostly just saying how wonderful it will be to meet new people or giving ideas on how to set the whole thing up. Most of it was a blur though. I didn't get much sleep. Come to think of it I haven't been getting a lot of sleep at all lately. But at least I had Kanade's song to help me through this now. And Kanade herself of course. And the other two. Ena and Mizuki. Just thinking of them gave me that warm feeling in my stomach again.

After the meeting is over I walk through the hallways to find my locker while thinking about what I'd have to do today. Not much really. For the first time in a while my schedule wasn't really completely booked. Cram school had been cancelled for the day for whatever reason. Not that I'm complaining though. I can work on music more like that anyways. Everything at school was mostly just an annoyance.

I start to think about how lonely school is. But why am I thinking that? Everybody comes up to me to greet me everyday. But it doesn't feel as real or as genuine as Kanade Ena and Mizuki's warm greetings. Or even Miku's.

That's right. I could just go over to Miku's place for now. I'm sure Miku and the other Vocaloids  wouldn't mind.

I pull out my phone in a corner of the school and press Composing The Future. Before I know it I'm whisked away to SEKAI.

I only see Miku and Rin there at first. Then Luka and Meiko come up to greet me before going off on their own again. Leaving it to just me Miku and Rin.

"Hello Mafuyu." Miku and Rin say in unison.

"Hey you two. What are you doing?"

"Nothing." Miku says. "Just talking." I see a slight smile form on Miku's face. It's almost contagious.
