"You promised!!" Lucy screamed.
Tears burned my eyes but I kept going.
"What happened to always being there for me?!?" A couple of guards were now holding my little sister back. "I thought you loved me!!"
I headed back with my fists clenched.
"I have to go! You need to understand that!"
Lucy struggled against the guards, and eventually, she squirmed free.
I prepared myself as she smacked me in the gut with her little blows.
"You promised! You promised!," she reapeated. She was now sobbing.
I held on to her as her blows subsided and she finally collapsed in my arms.
