MADINA'S POV.

The birthday party started immediately. People were trooping in as expected.

I've been on my heels since the day started making sure everything is in place and the party goes perfectly for my dearest cousin. Raheema was the  MC we got. She happened to be one of anty Nana's acquaintance from their neighborhood and they share a pretty good relationship. So she's here with her four years old son who is also sadiya's friend.

Anty me!!anty me!! was what the children have been shouting since when Raheema announced who wants to join the round table chair dance with the celebrant and the winner gets a big stuffed bear and a pack of chocolate. Five children were selected to dance round four chairs. A pretty girl in blue won the challenge and she was given the big bear and chocolate. It was so interesting and funny to watch. I had my self laughing hard on the kids.

Everybody was having fun. I wanted to rest my leg a bit do I went inside the house and left anty nana to handle things there. I laid on the three seater couch and closed my eyes, the rest was coming along pretty well when a girl came in with Salim. She wanted to use the restroom so I ushered her in to use my toilet while I waited for her in the room.

Wow! Anty is this your room. The pretty girl asked as she came out. I didn't even notice when she was out.

Yes. I answered her while looking up at her with a smile. Not beautiful right?. I teasingly asked her.

What! are you joking. This room is Soo beautiful. I don't mind staying here forever. I'll tell my Abba to make me a blue room too when I go home. She said still looking around with admiration on her face. It's not her fault though. My room is really beautiful, that I know. Whenever I'm re_decoratimg I usually keep in mind to add up beautiful antics and aesthetics to the room let's not forget the color combinations I use. I tend to give my room my all possible best to make it comfy and beautiful because that's my comfort zone.

Really. So you like blue too Hun?

No. My favorite colour is black or sometimes I prefer going with colour riot.

Why choose black as a best colour. Especially for a girl plus your just a child I thought all kids love yellow, blue, purple, pink especially.

Nahh..those colors are for babies and as you can see am not a baby but you see black is beautiful and classic never too much and never too less.

Wow..this girl really amaze me. I like this girl. I really like kids who are outspoken like this. They can never be bullied in school  or anywhere unlike my cousin and brother. They are too calm for my liking no wonder they get along easily. It's not like they get bullied in school it's just that they are too quiet and reserved. They can't even stand up for themselves especially Areef he's too weak, that's why am always afraid of letting him be somewhere else alone without company.

And do you know Salim is still a baby, can you imagine choosing captain man as a theme for his birthday. Who does that babies right. I am seriously managing him as a best friend honestly.

Now I can't stop laughing. This girl is really something else.  So now literally you mean to say that Salim is still a baby right. I asked her.

Yes, I mean look at him with his choice of birthday theme. Captain man. Who does that.

Salim. I answered while laughing. So what will you choose if it were you. I asked her.

I'll rather choose a mask party. Like the ones they do in movies where they wear mask on their faces. I love those types of party. It's usually daring and fun and unique. She said clapping her hands together with a smirk on her face.

Wow. You are really a unique girl I just say. Let's get you back to the party now right.

Nooo... I want to stay here in this room. She said laying back down on the couch in the room.

Let's go if not you will miss out a lot of fun in your best friend's party and you wouldn't want to do that will you.

Urggghhhhh..no.. ohk I'll go but promise me you will let me stay in your room when next I come to visit again.

Promise. Now let's go. I held out my hand to her as she entwined our hands and together we went back  downstairs to the party. As we reached the water paint gun shooting section she said she would stop there and play. I was about leaving her there and going when she stopped me.

By the way, my name is Naina anty.

It was when she said her name that I remember that I never asked her of her name in the first place. I was so shy and I felt stupid. Whosoever is the parent of this child really has to be given an award for best parenting. I just masked the stupidity I felt and went down to her level and stretched my hand to her. My name is Madina and nice meeting you Naina. I hope we will spend more time together sometime. She was grinning ear to ear as she fixed her petite hand into mine. I gave hers a gentle. Shake and kissed her cheek then I left her there to enjoy the party.

By exactly 5:00pm, the party was rounded up and the guests were leaving and we were busy walking them out thanking them for honoring our invite. Each kid left with a bag of goodies and other souvenirs while for the parents they were given a plastic bowls with a bag of goodies too as souvenirs.

Anty madee see Naina has come with her aunty. Salim said walking towards me with Naina and a beautiful fair skinned lady behind her.

Look anty madina I brought my aunty to you.she said pushing her aunt towards me. I just smiled at her childishness.

Salamu alayki sister. She said holding out her right hand to me.

I took it immediately and gave it a soft shake while returning back her salam. We exchanged more pleasantries and talked for a short while and she agreed to bring Naina more oftern to hang out with me as requested by Naina. They both bade us goodbye and left as I walked them out.

Finally it's all over and Alhamdullilah Salim was very  happy and pleased with the way his birthday party turned out to be. We cleared up the place in before retiring back into the house. I don't want extra work for my self tomorrow hence I opt for packing and clearing the place this evening. After Maghrib prayer we are seated in the sitting room watching a movie on Netflix when daddy came in. He was looking all tired and angry. We greeted him and he just answered our greetings briefly and left for his room without even sparing us a glance. I already know it's one of those days that he comes back home angry. So I didn't even bother to go after him else I will be a victim of circumstance. After Isha prayer the kids slept off after praying cos they were really tired. Areef and Salim were taken to areef's room, anty nana and sadiya occupied one of the guests room downstairs while I left for my room. I hardly share room with anyone and anty nana knows that so anytime she's having a sleep over she usually use that particular room downstairs plus it's her favorite room in the house reasons known to her.
