Spending Quality Time

{6 Months Later}

August and I have been getting along just fine. He comes over every day to hang out with AJ, he even bought AJ a baby pit bull. August said that he had something really important to talk to me about so he should be coming over in a few.

I throw on my black joggers and my black t-shirt, putting my hair into a bun. As soon as I get downstairs, August walks into the house and calls out, "Melena!?" I get downstairs all the way and say, "I'm right here, what's up?" You may be wondering why he just walking in like that, but I gave him a key to my house in case of emergencies.

"Yo, let me tell this trifling ass shit that I just found out" he said as he rubbed the back of his neck and sat down on the couch. I sat next to him and AJ came running downstairs and hugged August tight as hell. "You missed me lil man?" August asked him and AJ replied, "Yeah I missed you daddy, I hate being the only boy here."

August chuckled and said, "Well, I'll come and play with you in a little while. Me and mommy need to talk first so just go upstairs and wait for me." AJ nodded his head and went back upstairs and I said, "So, what happened?" He sighed and said, "Well, you know how Kathy said she pregnant by me.....well, I come home today from the studio and I aint mean to eavesdrop but the door was cracked open. So I heard her on the phone with one of her friends talking about Cassie aint mine, she was just trapping me with her and using her to get money out of me. Bruh, I flipped the fuck out and I kicked her ass out. The bitch then had the nerve to try and apologize so I just got all her shit and threw it outside in the street and that's when I came over here."

I shook my head in disgust and that's when August started crying. I pulled him into my arms and asked him what was wrong. "I feel bad for cheating on you. I regret that every day of my life, especially when I look at AJ. I just wish that we were back together again and everything was the way it was before I cheated" he said to me as he wiped his tears and stopped crying.

He looked me in the eyes, leaned in and kissed me passionately. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back allowing his tongue to slip into my mouth. Things were getting a little heated when we heard AJ say, "EWWW! Y'all are nasty, I'm telling grandma."

August looked at me and said, "So, are we back together?" I smiled and nodded my head pecking his lips one more time. He smiled back at me, got up and went upstairs with AJ.
