Alcmene and I had lived with Thana for the next 20 years, until she was ready for us to leave. She was now queen of the first kingdom in my realm, where she was worshipped as the goddess of Death. The kingdom was named after her mother, and their crest was my monstrous form.
Thana was 23-years old, and had grown into a fine woman. Over the time spent in there, Alcmene and I had given her 4 siblings. A brother named after Typhon, as he could command monsters and beasts. And 3 sisters. Chaos, after my mother, who could command the night sky. Hera, after Heracles, who had great strength and fighting prowess. And Gaea, after my sister, able to control nature.
We hugged our children tightly, teary-eyed. When we parted, we promised to visit them when we could. Then, in a blink, we left.
No time had passed in our absence, and we were lying back in Alcmene's bed. "I loved our time together, Perseus. Got any powers to help me remember how to live here again?" She joked, kissing me deeply.
"Unfortunately, I do not. I'm going to miss them. I don't know how much time will pass in our absence. But, I deeply enjoyed the life we spent with them," I returned, my "wife" nodding in agreement. We got married in my realm, but that bond doesn't exist out here.
"Now what?" Alcmene asked, staring at me. "I'll create a life close to you, my love. I will protect you when needed. But I won't get in the way of your life here," I answered, getting up out of the bed.
"I love you, Perseus," she whispered, yawning as the 20 years caught up with her hibernated body. "I love you, Alcmene," I returned, kissing her on the head, before teleporting away.
Time Skip:
I had lived in Thebes for many years now, starting life as a commoner and somehow working my way up to be the personal guard of Alcmene. King Amphitryon is either really idiotic, or he trusts Alcmene very much.
Unfortunately for him, by orders of the queen, I had been plowing her nearly every night. And since Alcmene had insisted on her own chambers from day one, we had a lot of privacy at night.
But last week, Alcmene died in childbirth to a child born to both me and Amphitryon. He was named Paine, which was the way of saying he was a bastard child. I was reassigned to one of Amphitryon's daughters, Phoebe, who had a major crush on me.
I raised Paine in secret, via his dreams and speaking to him in his mind when needed, as I had strict orders never to leave Phoebe's side. I never had a problem with that when it was Alcmene, but now I hated every moment of it.
When I received news about Heracles, and it wasn't good news, I immediately deserted Thebes.
I leaped through Greece, soaring towards where I was tracking Heracles. My news about what happened was 2 years old, so I was prepared to meet my friend in battle, if need be.
I tracked him to the pitiful remains of Mount Othrys, where the garden of the Hesperides stood. As I descended to land, I heard screams and cries for help in the garden.
I landed hard in the beautiful garden, right next to the tree of golden apples. The dragon, Ladon, had all but one of his heads missing, and was slowly starting to regenerate them.
"I am sorry for whoever did this," I whispered, placing a comforting hand on his head. I heard more cries from behind me, and I whirled around to the noise. I ignored the gorgeous scenery, marching towards the sounds.
"Shut up!" A gruff voice barked, and I heard a slap followed by a whimper. I pushed through some bushes, finding a sight that made me furious. My friend, and technical stepson, was standing over a small woman.
