Amphion had not realized yet. He simply saw Ingrid way too close. Something was touching his lips. Something was entering his mouth, clashing with his tongue. It took him some time, but he finally understood. Did he accept what was happening? Absolutely yes. He did not dislike it at all. Indeed, he grabbed Ingrid's neck from behind with his right hand, grasped her right thigh with the left, rolled over and pinned her down. Now she was beneath him, a small gasp escaping her mouth. But even after all that, their lips were still linked. However, at that point, they started thinking. Listing down all of their thoughts would be undoubtedly a great endeavour, but, if I had to sum it up, I'd say "No way". So they stopped. They stared at each others' eyes, while catching their breaths. Amphion barely had the time to say "What?". Ingrid grabbed him from his shirt's collar, pulled him close and started kissing him again, putting her right hand on his hair, while also rubbing it. Did Amphion accept all of that? Once again, he did. That was definitely what they both wanted. To Ingrid, it felt like every time she had gotten enraged. To Amphion, it felt like losing control to his undead nature each time black blood had reached his head. That was sheer instinct. The same they exploited while fighting a dragon together. During times like this, the brain keeps on thinking, but the body simply ignores its thoughts and advices and acts accordingly to what ensures its safety... or wellness, like in this case, it's a release of dopamine, in scientific terms. Ingrid started unbuttoning Amphion's shirt, one button at a time, slowly and without pulling away from the kiss... Amphion grabbed both Ingrid's thighs, raised her left leg and put it on his right shoulder. Was that thing happening? Already? Amphion and Ingrid have a strange relationship to say the least, it is rather hard to say if they get along or not. They often disagree with each others' opinions, but one thing is certain: they trust each other blindly. Actually, saying that they were forced to would be more appropriate. Indeed, they had to, would you ever go fight a dragon or an unbreakable ancient warrior with someone you don't trust? The both of them being still alive is what made their trust towards each other grow. Ingrid, with her actions, is the one who gave free rein to Amphion, she knows Amphion won't either hurt her or take advantage of her. Plus, they do share an important trait. They're straightforward people. The best thing they do is getting the job done right away. No questions asked. Even so, this case is an exception. Amphion and Ingrid have always been alone during their lives, for one reason or another. That prevented them from exploring their feelings and the kiss was sudden, too sudden. The time they had spent alone together made them realize how they felt and they both accepted it, they won't deny or ignore their feelings. But they don't know what they are, not exactly, not yet. Therefore, they still didn't know how to cope with them. That's why they eventually stopped. They stopped kissing, they stopped touching each other. Once again, they had to catch their breaths. That was the moment in which thoughts took over instinct. Now, they were embarrassed. They couldn't even look at each other.

"Why don't we try that pool?" Ingrid said, at last.

"It's a great idea. Perfect." Amphion answered.
