Outside the water estate

'Tomioka' exited his estate wearing his akatsuki cloak and typical ninja clothing, his kunai pouch filled with several scrolls in preparation for the mission. The other pillars all stood waiting for him.

"Oh it seems that Tomioka has changed his style a bit," Shinobu commented.

"I see, Kocho, he looks quite flashy if you ask me! It's a shame Rengoku had to stay behind to deal with the Mugen train, he would have loved to see Tomioka expressing and styling himself differently!"

"Eh, Tomioka with straight hair is so cool!" Misturi squeezed.

"It's not that cool," Iguro responded.

"What are those clouds called again?"

Upon his meeting them they started their mission immediately and took off toward the elemental nations. Enroute, Itachi began to explain how they should act if they are confronted. "People in the elemental nations are different from us here in Japan. If someone approaches us then you should assume that they are an enemy, however do not fight them. Leave them to me unless I tell you otherwise."

"Hah?" Sanemi recoiled, "You expect us to stand about like shit buckets while you do all the fighting? No way in hell!"

"He's right." Iguro agreed, " It makes more sense for us to fight in conjunction. We will be stronger as a group anyway so if we fight together we will be more likely to win."

"You don't understand," Itachi stated bluntly.

"What don't we understand, Tomioka, ne?" Shinobu inquired but she was not met with an answer. The group stayed silent for the next while of their journey and decided to prepare themselves mentally for strong enemies to appear. Because if the egoist Tomioka was showing any kind of concern about losing then the people must be strong over there.

In the forest outside a town in the fire nation

"Stop here!" Itachi raised his voice "This town will do."

Following the black haired ninja's command they all came to a halt. "This town will do, for what? Tomioka?"

"The insect is right. Why are we stopping here, there are no demons?." Sanemi commented.

"This is a small town that is not too far from my home village so I know it well." Itachi stated, "You all stand out too much. People dress differently here so we're in this town to buy you clothes. I'll go myself, stay here. I'll be back in ten minutes."

*Ten minutes later*

"I'm back. I bought everyone's clothes in black because it is the most common colour to be worn by shinobi."

Itachi quickly handed everyone out their clothes and they all got changed.

(Clothes styles:

Shinobu has clothes styled like hinata.
Misturi styled like konan
Sanemi like sasuke
Uzui styled like his normal clothes
Obanai like shikamaru
Muichiro like Yahiko's akatsuki )

"Are these really considered normal clothes, Tomioka?" Iguro questioned.

"Yes, now we need to get moving. The place we're staying is still a while away."

"Where exactly is it we are staying? Is it your hometown? I hope it's flashy!"

"My hometown is the village of fire, the closest ninja village to the town I bought your clothes from, but we won't be staying there. We will be staying in the base of an organisation that I have been a member of since before I became a demon slayer. Now hurry! We can't stay so close to a ninja village for this long. Even in the middle of the forest they'll still sense us here."

"Ah, Tomioka is talking more than usual! So cool!"

"Sense us? The hell are you on about Tomioka? You're making no sense!" Sanemi growled, as per usual.

"Forget it Shinazugawa! Hurry up everyone and get moving!"

"What's the hurry? There are no demons nearby—"

In the blink of an eye they were surrounded by several ninja's both on the trees and on the ground. Itachi recognized them as being the konoha twelve, or at least most of them. A silver haired, masked ninja stepped out and started approaching them.

"Who are you and what is your business here? Your chakra signatures are a cause for alarm to any shinobi nation. It's unusual for there to be such a large group of people to be traveling with any chakra at all, nevermind for them to be accompanied by someone with such a large chakra signature."

"Kakashi Hatake, the copy ninja." Itachi comments, "The last time we met you were outmatched, however we have no intent of fighting at the moment so we shall be on our way."

"Wait, Itachi!" Naruto screamed, hoping to talk it over with him.

"Itachi?"

"Run everyone! Follow me." Itachi ordered.

The hashira took off at full speed, following itachi. While they have had several disagreements with Tomioka, or as he had been called 'Itachi' by the blonde boy, they trusted him and his judgement as a hashira.

Naruto and the rest of the present team 7 made a move to follow them but were halted by Kakashi. The konoha twelve stood still awaiting his orders.

"We will return to the village and report that, for the first time in years, Itachi Uchiha has been sighted on the outskirts of konoha. He seemed to have no ill intent but was travelling with 6 unidentified individuals with no chakra signatures or tenketsu points. Remember that he is an s class missing nin and fighting is not to be initiated unless attacked. Let's go!"

"Yes, Kakashi-sensei!"
