At the end of training, it was normal for Vlad King, the homeroom teacher of Class 1B at UA high school, to call all the students over for notes on their practice and a small peptalk. However, it was unusual for him to ask for individual students to stay after to speak privately. As the rest of the students flooded into the hallway to change in the locker rooms, F/N L/N stayed behind.

"You wanted to see me, sir? Is something wrong?" Y/N asked, standing at attention.

"Y/N... how are you liking UA so far?" Vlad King asked in his usual gravely tone, though he seemed a little hesitant.

Slightly confused, they responded, "It's great, the training is harder than it was at Shiketsu, but I would like to say that I'm getting used to it..." they looked back at the locker rooms before turning back and asking, "Is that all, sir?"

Vlad King sighed, "Well you've just received your provisional hero license, and we're glad to have you here at UA, but some other faculty members," he grimaced, "have said that my students are not participating enough in the side missions. Which is all because of that crazy class 1A, the mission board is next to their classroom so they can get to them early! It's ridiculous!"

"Um, sir?"

"Yes?"

"What does this have to do with me?"

"Oh. Right." He cleared his throat, "The side missions. One was set aside because none of the pros can do it, and no class A student has the right quirk. I'm asking if you're comfortable here because I think you're ready to get on the field. And this mission is perfect for your quirk!" He shouted with a toothy grin.

Y/N looked surprised, their quirk wasn't exactly flashy, and wasn't the best in fighting, hence their failure to get passed the UA entrance exam the first time. They were lucky to get in on a transfer recommendation from Shiketsu.

Vlad King smirked, "This is the perfect way to prove you belong here, and to prove that class 1B is just as good, if not better, than 1A!" He held out a hand, "So what do you say? Are you up to the task?"

With a small chuckle, Y/N shook their teacher's hand, "I'm here to be a hero, not sit on the sidelines."

Once changing back into the school uniform, Y/N hurried up the stairs to one of the faculty meeting rooms, knocking on the door as they entered. Many teachers sat waiting for their arrival, including Vlad King, Eraser Head, and even Principal Nezu.

"I was told to come here for a mission brief?" They asked, a little intimidated.

"Excellent! Come take a seat Y/N," Principal Nezu replied, "We were hoping you would help us on this difficult case." Pushing a button, a presentation on the case popped up on the projector screen behind the principal, "Present Mic, if you will?"

Present Mic stood, slamming his hands on the table, "It's a missing persons case! We've had at least five people call in missing persons, but the only thing they had in common was the last place they were known to be." The slide flipped in the presentation, showing a neon lit building downtown, "This club called Flux. Very hip, very in, yo! I Tried getting in there a couple weeks ago and the bouncer told me-"

"Mic. Focus." Eraser Head hissed.

"Right. We had a warrant, already used it to investigate the place but nothing seems out of sorts- except the barman. The waitresses, especially the new ones, all look to the barman when asked questions, like they're waiting for the go ahead to answer. That's why we think the missing people have something to do with the drinks, it can't be a coincidence, right?!"

Y/N furrowed their eyebrows, confused, "So people are still going missing, why can't you get another warrant?"

"They are already suspicious of us, the bouncer doesn't let any pros or recognizable faces in, and we want to investigate while having them act natural. That's the best way to catch them- or the real culprit- in the act." Principal Nezu stated.
