Times are hard in District 9, it is time to elect people for the District battle. Hailey is nervous, because for some odd reason she thinks she and her sister will be chosen.
She stays up all night thinking about it. ( she has insomnia and that's no help) But the following morning she greets her sister Izzy.
"Good morning noona! Izzy says with a gigantic smile.
"Hey sunshine!" Hailey says with a loving tone.
"Did mom come home" Izzy said.
"No but it's ok we can skip school today the election is today", Hailey said nervously.
"Yay! When is it?"
"In the Afternoon."
"Ok, see ya noona I'm gonna hang out with my friends.
"Is it the ones I don't like" Hailey said in a stern tone."
"Wha- no bye!" Izzy said hastily.
"Ish that child." Hailey said while laughing.
"Maybe I should clean the house before mom comes home."She thought to herself.
After she cleaned up a bit she walked down the street to clear her mind, she heard some screaming and shouting. She walked towards it being the brave person she is and saw something that made her explode in fury. It was Izzy being beat up by her "friends".
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING."Hailey yelled as the kids flinched.
"Who are you?" Jade said in a annoying tone.
"Your worst fucking nightmare."
"Ohhh I'm so scared" Jade mockingly said and continued to push Izzy.
"If you touch her one more fucking time it won't be pretty."Hailey said almost hurling at the kid.
"What are you going to do~"Jade said before being socked in the face.
"HAILEY WTF?!"Yelled Izzy.
"What did you expect me to do?"
"Maybe not sock her in the in face." Izzy said weakly as she watched jade run away crying.
"Are you ok?!" The older said worryingly.
"I'm fine" said the younger as she tried to stand but fell.
"I'll carry you."
"Don't. You. Dare." Said Izzy as she was being picked up.
"Let's get you cleaned up"
They walked home while Hailey scolded Izzy and told her she was right about her "friends."
After getting cleaned up it was time for the election, Hailey was extremely nervous.
They get their and see their mom.
"Hey eomma!" They both said.
"What happen to you iz?"She said angrily
"I got-"Izzy tried to say before being cut off.
"Did those kids pick on you again?!" She yelled.
"Hailey!" Why didn't you protect her, your a terrible sister I always could tell!" She screamed once again.
"Mom I-." Hailey tried to say.
"Don't even speak!"
"BE QUIET MOM ALL HAILEY DOES IS TRY AND HELP AMD YOU CANT EVEN RESPECT THAT." Izzy lashed out and shocked both of them.
"SHE IS MORE OF A MOTHER FIGURE TO ME THAN YOU ARE, EVER SINCE DAD DIED YOU BLAMED IT ON HAILEY. ITS YOUR FAULT, YOUR FAULT." Izzy stopped and ran.
"Shit." Hailey said with wide eyes and ran after her.
Hailey hugged and comforted the younger then it was time for election. They found seats far from mom and sat down.
The Queen Exnia walked on stage with the most obnoxious smile.
"Welcome all to the 6th District battle." She said.
"This year will be different, we will draw out of a pail instead of picking".
That made Hailey even more nervous.
"We will pick three people this year."
"Alright let's pick"
"Let me see.... Ah here." She said as she swirled her hand in the bucket.
....."Hailey Kit."
Hailey's and Izzy's heart dropped.
"NO!" Izzy screamed in disbelief.
"No screaming." The Queen said slightly annoyed.
"It's going to be ok." Hailey said reassuringly.
"No! No it's not- , the younger said before being cut off by a guard taking Hailey.
"YOU CANT TAKE HER" Izzy shouted as she hit the guard and the other guard walked towards her.
"I'm fine with going but if you lay a fucking finger on her-"
"Miss I need you to say silent." Said the guard.
"I love you sunshine"
" I love you moon" they said as the older was being takin to the stage.
During all of this jade was laughing until the Queen drew another name and said, "Jade Carlan".
"WHAT NO THIS CANT HAPPEN!?" She idiotically yelled as she was dragged on stage.
All Hailey was thinking about what is Izzy going to do without her or her mother until she heard the most heart stopping thing.
"Izzy Kit is our last unlucky one" the Queen giggled.
