"Beginning recording of parallel universe 7777."

"This is professor paradox, recording his latest findings on dimension 7777 and I have to say I am quite astounded by what I've seen. In this universe Ben managed to remove the dial of the omnitrix causing it to fuse aliens together when he transformed. Unfortunately he was unable to fix his watch for animos device and ended up destroying the dial forever although luckily in this universe he hadn't yet used it on max. Unfortunately this meant that this universe's omnitrix could not be repaired as easily. So young Benjamin took it upon himself to fix the watch which yielded some very strange results."

"Stop that pipsqueak, you're gonna mess that thing up even worse than you already have."

The loud shrill voice of Ben's cousin said, crossing her arms and looking down at him.

Currently Ben wasn't as tall as he normally was; he had shrunken down to be about a foot tall covered with crystals, crystals that he was now using to try and fix the watch on his back.

Truth be told the device on his back wasn't actually a watch it was the omnitrix a device that allowed Ben to change into a variety of different aliens but after ripping the faceplate off Ben had found his alien transformations had become weaker. They had fused into strange amalgams made up of two different DNA samples fused together. At least that was what dimondmatter's enhanced intellect said. Gwen was doing her best to help guide dimond matters arms from above since it was difficult to use them on the omnitrix jutting out of his back.

"Uh a little to the left I think." Gwen said squinting to get a better look at what Ben was doing and doing her best to keep the flashlight she held in her left hand steady on top of Ben.

"Alright there we go new dial and crystal outer shell complete now we just wait for-"
Suddenly the omnitrix began blinking red loudly.

"That."

Ben finished just as he transformed back into human. He brought his wrist up to Gwen's flashlight which was now pointing at Ben's feet since he had grown back to his original size. The omnitrix now had several large green crystals growing out of it along with a crystal face plate that looked surprisingly similar to the original one despite the circumstances in which it had been made.

"Wow great job now it looks like some weird freaky christmas decoration instead of a weird freaky watch." Gwen said sarcastically.

Ben looked down at the watch which shined brighter than it usually did in the light thanks to the crystals sticking out of it. He ran his finger over the new faceplate.

It was smooth like the old one but also much cooler to the touch.

"Well I guess there's only one way to find out if this worked." Ben touched the button on the front side causing the faceplate to jut out. Ben was about to slam it back down but Gwen reached out and grabbed his arm.

"Wait! We don't know for sure it worked, you could transform into anything and who knows maybe you won't change back this time!"

Ben looked at her then back down at the watch and nodded his head. It was rare for Ben and Gwen to agree on anything but in this instance Ben and Gwen both understood that the omnitrix might be too dangerous to use; they would have to wait until morning so grandpa Max could take them to mount Rushmore like he had promised.

Ben hit the button again but the faceplate didn't go back down.

"What's the problem Ben?"

His cousin asked, noticing his confusion.
