I don't think I can keep going. I'm tired, but I need to help Yves complete this mission. He needs me as much as I need him. Don't worry, my love, I'll do my best– just wait a little longer.

"Y/n, you doing alright?" Zach asked. He's Yves' best friend and a very nice guy, but a bit protective over Yves when I first met him. Then, after a few months, he fell in love with my best friend and married her after dating for a couple of years. "Yeah, I'm alright, how about you?" I asked, noticing Zach being a little gloomy today. "Just missing him, must be hard for you also. I mean, he's your husband," he muttered. I sighed and stood up from the nest of blankets. He teared up a bit before hugging me, "When will he come back? God damn it, I can't go a day without him, he's like a brother to me," he said sobbing a bit. "I know how you feel, he's my husband after all. I miss my siblings also, I don't know where they are but I hope they're alright." I teared up, and he hugged me tighter for a few moments.

"Hey, how's it going?" My best friend, Grace asked. "It's going great, love," Zach said, letting go of me to hug her pregnant wife. "How's the baby doing?" I asked her, and she smiled tiredly while rubbing her belly. "He's doing fine, kicking pretty hard but I can handle it," she said giggling. "That's good, at least he's being active," I chuckled, smiling at her for a bit before I had a sudden headache. I grimaced a bit and let the pain pass. "Are you okay, y/n?" Grace asked worriedly. "Yeah, it's just a headache that's all," I grunted, this was probably because of all the communication I did with my past self and them. "Oh, well I hope it's not fatal, or else we might have to put medication on you, y/n," Grace warned. I sighed and gave her a thumbs-up, maybe I should rest for a bit, but I need to keep on the lookout.

"I know what you're thinking, let me take over y/n. You and my beautiful wife need some rest or else I'll tell Yves you're overworking yourself." Zach warned, and I give him the middle finger which he mockingly gasped at. "There's a kid in here!" He screeched. "He's not even out of the womb yet, babe," Grace giggled. "Still!" He shouted back, which Grace and I laughed at before we walked out of the corridor.

"So far we only found a few articles about particular areas that contain certain gases that could endanger humankind," Yolanda stated before leaning back on her chair. "Cool, what are they?" Gordon asked, he was just chilling on his bed looking through his phone. "Dristrict A700, GH 009, CF 690, and B239." She read, "Seems like government bases," Gordon says dumbly, while Yolanda gave him a "are you serious" expression. "What? I'm just saying!" Gordon says before being interrupted.

"Guys, we found something cool in our basement!" I say, running into the room. "We have a basement?" Gordon muttered before him and Yolanda followed.

We entered the faintly lit basement and were met with a lot of cobwebs and furniture left to collect dust: There was a grandfather clock, a piano, wardrobes, and crafting equipment. It wasn't surprising that we didn't see this basement before; It was covered by an old carpet that we haven't touched because it was glued to the floorboards.

"What are you doing?" Gordon asked Yves, "I'm looking for something, but I can't find it!" Yves said trying to move around furniture. "Here let me help," I offered but my brother stopped me. "Nope, I will help him, you guys keep looking up articles and trying to stop the government or whatever," He waved at us and tried to get to the other side of the room.

"Come on, help me buy some equipment for this journey, y/n." My sister patted my shoulder and went upstairs. "Okay," I followed her.

"Remember, when we first met our husbands?" Grace chuckles, folding our laundry. "Yeah," I responded. I don't even want to remember that weird occurrence. At that time I don't even know what was I thinking, but at least I met them.
