As you can tell by the title this is
part one of my "wedding series". This is the proposal. Big love to Kaitlan (_HopelessFanfictions ) for encouraging me to do this
Calum: it was not often that you and Calum went out to eat. Usually you'd order pizza and open the alcohol and you'd be set for the night. You only really went out when it was special occasion like birthdays or anniversaries.
You were lying on the sofa waiting for Calum to arrive home when you heard the door close. Your boyfriend walked in and stood right in front of you
"Go and get changed out of your sweats, we're going out to dinner" he said with pride
"But it's not a special occasion"
"I know but I want to treat you and show you how much I love you" the pride fading from his voice soon turning into nerves
"Okay whatever you say mr hood"
You walked upstairs, Calum following you, to make yourself go from a 3 to at least an 8.5 on the decency scale. Calum walked into bathroom to shower whilst you took up the space in the bedroom. Your clothes were scattered and your makeup was thrown everywhere trying to look perfect. You decided on a red dress with red heels but you couldn't decide on your makeup. Calum walked into the room and you decided to ask him for help.
"Calum which lipstick should I use the coral one the fuchsia one or the ruby one" you asked knowing he wouldn't have clue what it meant.
"Erm the red one"
"Ruby"
"What"
"The ruby one"
"No the red one"
"Calum the ruby one is the red one"
"Oh then yeah the ruby one" your boyfriend said smiling to himself you couldn't help but notice he was getting more and more on edge the closer you got to leaving the house. As you sat down in the car you decided it's time to find out what was wrong
"Calum, babe what's wrong?"
"What do you mean"
"You seem nervous as though something's going to happen"
"Nothing's wrong beautiful, I just can't believe that I have a girlfriend as amazing as you" he said kissing your cheek
"You just scored major boyfriend points honey"
"Eh I try my best"
You arrived at the restaurant and noticed Calum getting even more nervous and anxious
"Babe seriously are you okay"
"Yeah I'm fine I promise you"
You ate your food and had meaningless conversations with Calum which couldn't have been more perfect but it was about to get better
"Okay whew here goes"
"What, Calum what's happening" you asked your boyfriend as he took your hand in his
"Look Y/N you are honestly the most amazing girlfriend I've ever had and i sometimes wonder how I got so blessed with you and you got stuck with some idiot who seems like he makes no effort at all in this relationship but in reality I'm doing everything I can to make you happy"
"Cal that's not true" you spoke although Calum seemed to ignore you making you more scared as to what was going on.
"I don't think I can spend another day calling you my girlfriend" Your heart sank thinking that Calum was breaking up with you whilst he reached inside his jacket and pulled out a small box
"So can I please please please just make you my wife already"
"Oh my god Calum" you said not being able to form any more words
"Is that a yes or did this just get really awkward"
"It's a yes you div"
Calum sat next to you and rested his forehead on yours wiping away your tears. His lips lingered over yours before gently kissing you not wanting to spoil the moment
"I love you so much Calum Thomas Hood"
"I love you to Y/N, so fucking much"
Ashton:
You and your boyfriend Ashton decided to go for a picnic as it was a nice day and was probably the only nice day you'll have for a long time. Usually you would pack the lunch but this time Ashton wanted to do it. You gave him some ideas for he could make or bring and left him to it whilst you got yourself ready.
"Y/N babe are you ready to go" you heard your boyfriend call
"Yeah I'm almost finished I'm just getting my shoes on" you called back
You ran downstairs and you were greeted by Ashton
"How do you manage to look that beautiful every single day"
"I don't know ask my parents they made me"
"I'm not quite ready for that conversation yet"
You laughed at your boyfriend and pulled him out the door ready to start your day. As you sat down in the park Ashton kept looking through the picnic basket making you wonder what he was doing.
"Ash did you forget something"
"Erm no just double checking I bought everything"
You found a spot to sit where not a lot of people were so it was peaceful for you and Ashton. After enjoying the pasta ashton made Capri-Suns and some cookies you laid down on the grass with Ashton.
"Babe I'm going to go the toilets okay I'll be back in a minute"
You sat on your phone waiting for your boyfriend to return and you saw him jogging over to you. You opened your arms and Ashton fell right onto you and you heard his adorable laugh
"Sit up babe I'm going to get another drink" you said to him
You put your hand in the basket and you found what felt like a box.
"Ash what's this box"
"Shit no you weren't supposed to see that"
"What is it?"
Ashton took the box off you and pulled you up to stand.
"Baby I love you so much and I wake up everyday looking at your beautiful face and I wouldn't have my life any other way. I was so depressed and upset when I found you and you turned my life around completely. You helped me smile and laugh and I couldn't thank you enough. We talk about getting married and having a family together and having this fantastic life that I can't wait to live so I thought I better start acting now"
Ashton got down on one knee and you suddenly realised what was happening.
"Your/full/name will you do me the honour of becoming Mrs Irwin"
"Oh my god Ash of course I will"
You said whilst crying. You got down your knees so you were level with Ashton and kissed him passionately. He slid the ring on to your finger and kissed your hand.
"I have never loved you more Y/N"
