It was a typical dreary day at the Labyrinth in the Goblin Kingdom. Long ago, the Kingdom was beautiful and filled with luscious trees and various flowers. After the first Goblin King, Declan, had died, the trees had shrunk with no leaves, and the flowers were gone and replaced with tumbleweeds. It seems more like a wasteland than a Kingdom.
Declan's Heir and Crown Prince, Jareth, currently rules the Labyrinth as the Second Goblin King. However, instead of bringing the Kingdom back to its former beauty, he dismisses it, believing that he has no purpose in beautifying it after losing one of the most beautiful treasures of his life.
Deep within the murky, messy Castle resides mischievous Goblins who love to party daily. In the throne room sat a bored thoughtful-looking Jareth staring at the wall as though something was going to happen.
" At least Diana made it home safely from the Park," Jareth murmured. " I still wonder about that child that clings to her. Then again, I have seen her meet several mundane Men." He scowls. " But not once did I see her carry a babe within her." He rubbed his chin.
Jareth's silver-brown eyes blinked when he saw a glass orb appear beside him. He glanced and hummed when he heard a young feminine voice make a wish.
" Ugh! I wish my nephew was out of my life!" The young feminine voice shouts. " That way, he can leave me alone and be out of my room!" She sneered, sounding angry and annoyed.
" How many wishes have I heard when someone asks to wish a child away?" Jareth asked himself.
" At least hundreds, sire." Jareth's royal advisor, an anthropomorphic Fox-Terrier Hybrid named Sir Didymus, responded.
Jareth rubbed his face and sighed. He heard his followers laugh and chant about going to the mundane world to retrieve a child. He glanced at his Warriors, thinking they would be too rough for taking the child to the Labyrinth.
" Ludo," Jareth called out, grabbing a massive creature's attention. He was hugging an annoyed smaller Goblin, wanting to give it affection. " Go retrieve the child for me." He ordered.
Ludo grunted in response, letting go of the smaller Goblin, and the creature ran away.
" I trust you to bring the child here safely." Jareth firmly speaks, shooing his gloved hand to let Ludo know that it is time for the massive creature to go to the mundane world since the Goblin King was still lazily sitting on his throne chair.
Ludo nodded, looking happy to do something for his beloved Goblin King. He turns around and walks towards a door, hearing Jareth snap his gloved fingers to create a portal for him to go to the mundane world.
Jareth watched Ludo leave, and he turned his gaze to his Warriors. " Everyone! I want you to protect Ludo and the child. If someone tries to stop him, stop them or bring them here. I will deal with them." He shrugged and shooed the smaller Goblins away.
The Warrior Goblins cheered and ran towards a smaller door. Jareth snapped his gloved fingers, watched the creatures open the door, and walked through the portal to the mundane world.
" Hoggle," Jareth calls out, grabbing his head butler's attention.
" Hm?" Hoggle hummed and glanced at Jareth.
Jareth dismisses the attitude since Hoggle raised him since infancy. " I need you to fix a room for our young guest." He gets off his throne chair and stretches.
" Since you are up, you can do it yourself," Hoggle mumbled. The nearby Goblins stare at Hoggle in admiration mixed with fear since Hoggle is the only Dwarf that can back talk the Goblin King.
Jareth playfully rolled his silver-brown eyes. He walks with Hoggle to the East Wing, the location of his and the notable guests' chambers. He plans to give one to the young child. He figured the boy would be frightened, so the Goblin King wanted to find a room that would benefit a young boy.
Jareth stopped by a closed door and stared at it with mixed emotions. His silver-brown eyes dimmed, remembering a sadden, fond memory during his time in the mundane world.
Jareth held a beautiful young female in his embrace. They shared a passionate kiss as he carried her to his bedroom in an apartment in Manhattan, New York.
" Diana. You do not know how much I crave your lips." Jareth huskily whispered while looking at the beautiful young female with passion, love, and lust in his silver-brown eyes.
The beautiful young female, Diana Richards, stares at Jareth with loving chocolate brown eyes.
Jareth sat Diana on the bed and knelt before her. " Diana. We have known each other for four years now." His firm hands lightly grasped her dainty hands. " When I first met you at NYU, you took my breath away. As we got to know one another, I loved your smile, voice, body, laugh, and eyes. But, most of all, I am trying to say that I am in love with you." He confessed.
Diana softly smiled while looking at Jareth fondly.
" I want you to be mine for always and forever." Jareth gently places Diana's hand on his lips and kisses it.
" Let's get married and have a family," Diana whispered since she dreamed of having a family with someone she considers her soul mate.
Jareth's silver-brown eyes sparkled. He grinned, leaning forward and kissing Diana passionately as they fell on the bed and started to make sweet, passionate love throughout the evening.
" Oi!" Hoggle called out while looking at Jareth with brief worry. He knew that the Goblin King was thinking about the beautiful woman he met in the mundane world.
Jareth's silver-brown eyes blinked, hearing Hoggle's voice. He stared at the closed door that had a hidden infant nursery inside. He forbade everyone except Hoggle from coming into that room. He closed his eyes, imagining what a child of his and Diana would have looked like if they were real.
" That child would have been the most beautiful in existence," Jareth whispered while opening his silver-brown eyes, causing Hoggle to stare at him with brief sympathy.
" They would have her kind, tender gaze, and smile. But they will look exactly like me since a Fae and Goblin gene would be stronger than their human one." Jareth murmured.
Hoggle is the only one in the Goblin Kingdom who knows of Diana's existence because Jareth trusts him wholeheartedly to talk about her to him.
" Even though I have not met her, from the painting I have seen in your chambers. She seems like a splendid and strong-spirited woman because you are hard to handle, and I am surprised she fell for someone like you." Hoggle snarked.
Jareth smirked since he inherited his sarcastic atmosphere from Hoggle. His silver-brown eyes blink when he hears a commotion coming from the throne room. He looked at Hoggle, and the two nodded, thinking that the child had arrived and was scared of his surroundings.
