A/N: Percy never lost the curse of Achilles, and his spot changed as well. It's behind his ear. Also, Annabeth never told him not to try controlling other stuff. She wasn't scared, as she understood that his power is growing, and it was necessary for him. So Akhyls is dead. RIP I guess.

Tartarus. The pit of evil.

A place where not even the gods dared to trespass. The home ground of monsters, and hell in every sense of the term. Every single inch of it was fatal to mortals, and Percy and Annabeth were no exceptions.

Annabeth opened her eyes, as she looked at Percy, who was holding her. His sea-green eyes scanned the surroundings, wary. Any sane person would relate to this, given the experience in the House of Night.

"You okay?" He asked, as he gently let her down. Annabeth wobbled a little before standing up, as she looked around.

"We made it out. Where's Bob?" She asked, turning to look behind Percy, as her eyes widened in shock. "How far did you walk holding me?"

"I didn't walk at all," Percy replied, a perplexed expression on his face. "All I did was land, and then let you off."

"So you mean to tell me...." She began. "That you jumped hundreds of feet easily?!"

"What?" Percy asked, turning around. "No I didn't...what the Hades?!"

"Exactly," Annabeth replied, pointing towards the dark swirling mess barely visible on the horizon. "You jumped, possibly hundreds of feet, not only forward but up as well, and landed safely. Did your Curse get amplified?"

"I don't know," Percy replied. "Ever since the fight with Akhyls, I feel stronger. With each passing second, it feels like I can do more. I can sense more of my power, latent abilities, and enhanced physical attributes."

"Hmm..." Annabeth mused, hand on her chin. " if that's the case, then whatever caused you to control the poison against her unlocked your full potential, and boosted your power. If we could recreate that effect, we could have all of the Seven become massively stronger."

"Really?" Percy asked. All of the Seven with that kind of power... the monsters wouldn't stand a chance.

"No..." Annabeth replied, shaking her head. "It seems like stress, desperation, and the willingness to do anything, even something Merciless or inhumane, is the catalyst. If done wrong, it could cause something much worse, like losing your humanity."

"Oh," Percy replied, looking down.

"Percy, I-" Annabeth began. "That's not what I-"

"It's all good, right?" Percy asked, looking back up with a cheerful expression. "Even if it's just me, that'll be enough to make a massive difference. "To storm or fire the world must fall." With this, I could create a storm bigger than ever. It would be enough to defeat Gaia. Besides, it's not like I'll lose my humanity right? After all, my fatal flaw is loyalty."

"That is true..." Annabeth replied. "You could turn the tide of war alone..."

"Percy and Annabeth are not dead!" Bob exclaimed, appearing next to them. "But they look dead. That is good."

"We do?" Percy and Annabeth looked at each other. "Holy Hades we do!" They yelled in shock. They saw corpses instead of each other, and Percy found it extremely weird that they didn't even know how this happened.

"A side effect from killing Akhlys." Annabeth deduced. "With its patron long gone, the Death Mist latched onto us."

"Yes. That is true." Bob admitted. "Domains of the vanquished get attached to the killer."
