Shocked by her declaration her father Lord Nazalim glared at her. He stood up from his desk and walked towards her with a furious gait like a beast attacking their prey. Stopping in front of her and raised his right hand. Swinging his hand he slapped her.
Arjuna took her Father's slap and stood firmly in front of him unflinching. She had beed training her body ever since she awakened her gift. The slap had enough force to send a regular person reeling on the ground. But she stands resolute. Her cheek swollen, and bruised, her lips started to bleed. I am never going to back down I am doing this for myself. She endured the pain. It was the first time her Father raised his hand at her.
Her Father took a step back like he was surprised about what he had done. But he quickly regained his posture focusing on his anger. Crossing his arms he starts to glare at her dark purple eyes like a void trying to suck her soul.
"Father, am I not doing you a favor? You don't have to see me ever again." And I will never see that disappointed look of yours. The look you always give me. She was holding back her tears. I am never going to shed tears for you or Mother ever again.
"Father a month from now I will be turning 14 years old and I will be officially an adult. I am not asking you for your permission. But out of respect for being my Father. I want to thank you for taking care of me and providing for me food, clothing, and shelter. I am letting you know that I am going to live with the humans in the Outworld. All I ask is for you to accept my decision." She continued. Her head held up high looking at her Father's eyes still glaring at her.
Ethereans are officially deemed an adult when they reached the age of 14. Due to the low birthrate of Ethereans they decided to find their children a suitable marriage partner when they reach that age. Allying themselves to other Etherean Houses.
"How dare you talk to me like that! Since when did you learn how to be disrespectful?!" He pointed a finger at her seething. Dark purple eyes glaring at her.
"Do you even know anything about the Outworlders?! And Humans! What are these Humans you spoke of living with them?!! Bah!" he snorted
"Those Outworlders are savages!"
"But Father..." She was about to explain what she read in a book she found at the library when she heard a familiar voice. The only voice that makes her feel that she still has someone she can call a family. She looked at her older brother Raskias with eyes still holding back tears. Raskias hair was disheveled, it was clear ran just to get to her.
"Sister, please that is enough." Raskias said with a calm authoritative voice and gave her a look of understanding.
"Father, I will have a word with Arjuna. Please forgive her actions." He bowed low at their Father and grab Arjuna by the arm.
She starts to protest but Raskias glared at her and quickly drags her away. "Excuse us Father."
Karrina and Atlas, Raskias's d'Quar follows along behind them.
He calls for a maid to bring some warm water and towels to his room.

Inside Raskias's room, he frowns at her and gave her a questioning look. "Big brother please stop you will start to look like Father if you are going to give me that look." Arjuna said while she walks to his bed and sat.
Raskias sat next to her and wiped her face with the warm wet towel.
"Ouch! Big brother can you please be gentle you'll ruin your baby sister's beautiful face." She said while trying to shield her face from her brother's onslaught of towel wiping.
