Out of all days, this, by far was the worst, snow blew down from the Grey covered sky, the clouds rolling and thundering..what was happening? It seemed as though the atmosphere was struggling to keep its form, twisting and screaming in agony as it crunched and whined. A light slowly blaring down from the sky, followed by more, until eventually all that covered the city was pure white, then darkness...Today, was the day everything went wrong, the day monsters decided they'd try to blend in with humans. God what fools they were, you hated every one of those scaley, boney, creepy monsters, and you'd make them pay...

Beep! Beep! Beep! Your wet eyes shot open in suprise as you quickly sat up, gasping for air as if you'd been holding your breath. What...? You thought, looking around for a second before a breath of relief escaped your lips, it was all just another nightmare..you slowly looked at your ever beeping clock, grumbling quietly as you quickly pressed the top to quiet the thing, getting up and stretching, yawning..another day. You took your phone, staring at the date and time, it was her birthday...your mother's. A good visit wouldn't kill anyone, but it still hurt to see her, everytime you saw her until that day, she always had dad by her side...if only he decided to stay with her once.

Your brows tilted softly, Dad..you couldn't help but remember his soft wise smile, the notes he'd slip under your door on a bad day..his kind heart. You cleared your throat, not now, you need to get ready, you thought, quickly walking over to your closet, opening it up, you had a small apartment, it wasn't something to brag about but your closet? You had plenty of clothes. A smile formed on your face as you grabbed yourself some clothes. Putting on some dress pants with a button up shirt with a flannel ontop, just wearing a beanie, as it was during fall. You didn't care much for looking like a million bucks when you walked out the house, all you cared about was making it on time.

Soon, you were out the door, making your way down the street with a strawberry jam covered bagel in your hand. A smile of satisfaction on your face as you walked down the street quietly, enjoying the early morning as it was way less crowded and loud. Watching the beautiful view, the pink, red and somewhat purple sky made you relax. The sun barley starting to rise, you weren't a early morning person until you started to work, God you'd do anything to stay up all night and sleep in all day. The clouds fogged over the giant mountains, creating such a soft yet astounding look for the mornings sunrise.

Walking with a hum, surprisingly for you, a notification pushed you out of your mind, looking down as you pulled your phone from your pocket. The contact on the screen was your landlord, s angered text on screen. 'I want that rent by the end of this month, I can't keep avoiding it Y/n. Get the money or your out of here'. A sigh escaped your lips, shaking your head with a scoff, he needed to calm down, you had your rent at home! But it was still a hassle to deal with, the mail had always gotten mixed up, you're just glad you had finally made it to the train, wanting to visit mother quickly.

Stepping onto the subway, you set your bag down infront of your feet, letting out a soft breath of relief. It felt good to finally sit down, having walked a good long way to get there, slowly taking out your headphones and putting them on, listening to the music as your eyes drifted around the barley full train. The sunlight gently glazed over the floor of the train, and a little girl's laughter came from the other side of the cart. Looking over, you see a little girl playing with her father, the expression on your face going soft at this, finding it quite sweet. A chair down was a grumpy looking old man, that seemed cold and bewildered, a part of you felt a little tense, the other people were quite well dressed, having a job to go to.
