Chapter 3: Now you've ruined it!

Jack stared in shock for a moment taking in Maria's appearance his jaw going slack and he knew it would have fallen to fall and have broken if it wasn't for the skin that kept it attached to his face. He shook his head slightly dragging himself out of his dazed and looked at her outfit once more looking a her knee high cherry red converse that looked a little scuffed at the front that stopped just before her knees and he noted as he travelled upwards slightly that she was wearing short shorts that where a dark denim blue with light blue denim stars sown on his eye widening as his face grew red as he noted how much of her upper thigh was bare and quickly flicked his eye upwards to look at her shirt and smiled as he saw that she was wearing a plain white vest beneath her lucky flannel.

"Jack?"

She called and he mentally cursed before he looked up at her confused face and shifted her weight from foot to foot nervously her face slightly flush.

"Y-Yes?"

He asked 'Da fuck! Did I just stammer!' he thought as he held her gaze as she stepped aside slightly and gestured with her hand for him to come in before he gave a quick and brisk nod and walked in pulling his luggage in after his placing it down by the door as Maria closed the door and he turned and walked forward wrapping her in a warm hug which she gratefully accepted.

"Jack what am I going to do? People are starting to ask what's happened to me and I have been saying I am sick and will be back to making videos soon but I can't pull out the 'I'm sick' car forever!"

She said growing tearful still wrapped in Jack's hug before his hand found her face and made her look upwards at him her deep chocolate brown eye full of tears that he wanted to wipe away as he memorized ever detail on her face before he took a deep breathe.

"Maria I think you are a really intelligent girl all you have to do is use that big brain of yours that I know is located somewhere in your head to figure out how to get out of this problem. You are not only the most intelligent you are also the most-"

He stopped himself abruptly and let go of her face and rubbed his neck sheepishly as she looked to him curiosity plain in her wide brown eyes.

"Jack what did you want to say!?"

She asked him and Jack averted his blue gaze to the floor avoiding her eyes as he knew that he could only stop himself for so long and he didn't want to ruin the friendship that he and Mark had before all of this.

"N-Nothing really I- Well- I just..."

He paused and thought looking up to face her as her lips stayed slightly parted as if she wanted to say something her innocently deep brown eye turned upwards slightly gazing at him curiously.

"Jack are you O-"

She was cut off as a pair of lips covered her as a couple of arms wrapped around her as she stood paralyzed with shock before she regained her senses and pushed Jack away a uncertain and sad look set into her features as she looked up to him her eyes wide and Jack cursed himself internally from ruining the best that had happened to him in a long, long time!
