School is a blessing. Gods….are a curse.
The battlefield was filled with the bodies of Asuras. Blood leaked out their bodies as flies swarmed around them. The crimson earth was my bed, the stench of the fallen my blanket.
In my hand lay the hair of Kezess Indrath, or whatever was left of him. We won, at a severe price.
Few years after taking back Elenoir and Dicathen from the Crestless, Agrona attacked Epheotus and started a war. Well, I got entangled in that mess. Long story short, Epheotus started a war with us. In the end, we won at the cost of Agrona’s life. We should thank the djinn that we met in the relictombs for helping us though.
As I stared at the clouds, I saw a black mass with two purple streaks behind it rush towards me. They crashed into the battlefield, creating a cloud of dust as they landed. Out of the dust cloud, two figures rushed towards me, one with gunmetal grey hair and the other with white hair.
“Papa!” Sylvie cried as she sat down besides me and began to heal me.
“Hey old man!” Tess waved her hand in front of my face. “How many fingers are there?”
I glared at her. “Two. Also, where are your other fingers? I thought Sylvie could heal them.”
“Atleast Sylvie healed the arm that I lost.” Tess grumbled as she pinched my nose. “Why aren’t you worrying about me?”
I gave her a sad smile, “Too many things.”
She chuckled as she watched my wounds heal faster. Of course I could regenerate, but Sylvie makes it faster. The djinn named Nicholas approached me with Lina as my operation proceeded.
“I want to apologise about General Aldir’s death. You wanted him alive.” He grimaced.
“Well, we will have to rely on his brother then.” I sighed as Sylvie finished healing my wounds. I then got up, stretched myself a bit before picking up Kezess’s head and started dribbling with it. I then tossed it into the air before kicking it towards the castle. I then turned around to my companions only to see their faces painted with dread. I not only killed the so-called strongest being alive, but also treated his head like a football. Not that it matters, anyway….
I cleared my throat to gain their attention. “The war is officially over, but first I need a hot bath. I am bloody and greasy. How can I make a report like this?”
“Me too.” Tess raised her hand.
“Me three!” Sylvie perked up.
“Us five!” Lina and Nicholas raised their hands as well.
“Well, off to Indrath’s castle.” I gave a smirk as I created a portal. “I heard that they have hot tub baths there.” Everyone cheered as a Phoenix came crashing down on me, it’s claws pinning me down on the ground. “Oof!” I cried out.
“You done, crybaby?” A voice roared from above me.
“Caera…Mordain…” I groaned. “Just because…I am stronger….doesn’t mean….you can use me as a….landing…..pad….”
Mordain laughed as Caera dismounted him. "Well, well! Look at our war hero!"
"I am not Kezess." I rubbed myself as Mordain got off me. "Off to the castle and to Myre. We have a few things to fix."
“Glubbulbbululubuggulluuugg!!!” I screamed as Tess and Sylvie began drowning me in the hot bath. It was problem enough that Tess wanted to join me, then my very own daughter decided to join me in the tub. She did turn into her fox form before coming in, but it was still problematic considering that she was in her teens. Agrona and Sylvia won’t forgive me if they see this.
