Hold You Tight

It's my last day at the military camp today....

Picking up my backpack and swinging it over my shoulder, taking one last look at the room i had stayed in, since the time I entered the military camp, the memories all ran through my mind bringing a smile to my face.

Many say that their military training was the worst part of their lives but for me, it definitely wasn't the same case. Being a person who loves to play, compete and accept challenges, I won't say it was the best, but it was DEFINITELY one if the best experiences of my life. Sighing... I exited my room, entering the hallway filled with memories, both good and bad.

At the end of the hallway, I took a last glance at it and left. I wanted to see my teammates for the last time before I leave but they all seemed to not be there in their dorm rooms...it saddened me a little.

Walking towards the exit gate, I saw a huge crowd of soldiers at the gate as if waiting for someone. I walked through the crowd to find my teammates holding huge posters wishing me luck and a good life out there.

Tears came out of my eyes while they all hugged me. I was laughing cause they squeezed the hell out of me, causing everyone to laugh as well. The youngest out of us, was sitting under the tree with his back facing us.

"What's wrong with him?" I asked my bestie, pointing at Minmin. He whispered into my ear, "He's really sad that his Yoda hyung is leaving and doesn't want you to see him crying." I signalled all my teammates to give him a group hug.

We approached him as quietly as possible and he was startled when we all hugged him. "Don't worry Minmin-nah, we can always meet out there, isn't it?" I said and he hmmed.

"Good luck hyung, we'll miss you" he said hugging me back. I patted his back and said "You have to cook me delicious meals when we meet". "Ofcourse hyung" he chuckled and said. "Nothing for us?" one of the other members said. "I'll cook something for you ALL" he said breaking the hug and smiling. Following that, we all had a good laugh.

While bidding a goodbye, my eyes were searching for only one person, but...she.. wasn't there...I asked my friend about her but he was clueless about it. With a sad smile I boarded my dad's car, waving at my teammates for the last time as the car drove off.

"MY CHANYEOLIE SUCESSFULLY COMPLETED HIS MILITARY TRAINING, aigooo I'm so proud of you" my dad said. "Thank you dad" I said smiling. "You've gotten really thin Yeollie,  mom has to feed you a lot to get you back in shape" my mom spoke from the co-driver's seat. "Oh how much i missed your cooking mom" I said dramatically. "He's just buttering you" my dad whispered to mom. "I can hear you dad" i said and laughed.

We had a lovely family chat and enjoyed the lunch my sister cooked. Having home-cooked, delicious food after so long, felt so good.

Later that evening, I called Mingi a few times but she didn't pick up...maybe she was just busy?

As I walked up to my apartment door, I could see light coming from beneath the door, raising a brow in suspicion, I cautiously opened the door and heard footsteps from the kitchen.

I slowly walked towards it grabbing a book from a nearby shelf, just incase I needed a weapon.

I peeked into the kitchen from behind the wall to see a girl cooking food. Looking at her from the back side, I immediately recognised who it was.

"OFFICER YUN MINGI!" I screamed, she jerked in shock and turned around. When she saw me, she stomped on her way and slapped my shoulder. "OUCH! Military girlfriends are really dangerous" I said, the second part of the sentence in a low voice.." What did you say?" She asked. "NOTHING!N-nothing..." I said stuttering and raising my hands in the air, as a sign of surrendering.

She smirked and got back to stirring the soup she prepared. "Why did you arrive unannounced...you ruined the surprise I planned for you" she pouted, and her cheeks puffed. I pinched her cheeks gently and said "Cutie, finding you at my place was a surprise itself" I said hugging her from the back and resting my hands on her waist. "Stop it.." she said shyly, turned around and hugged me hiding her face in my chest. I giggled seeing this side of hers.

I've always seen the disciplined, determined, tough and strong side of hers. Being able to witness this child-like side, melts my heart right away..

I went to my room to get changed, but as soon as I opened the door, Toben and Zzar jumped on me. "Aigooo, these kids...you scared me" I said rubbing my chest then crouching down to pat their heads. "I missed you guys" i said, patting them, a smile unknowingly crept up my cheeks.

I got up and stepped into my room to find my study table filled with beautifully packed gifts. "Oh my god" I exclaimed. She hugged me from the back "Those are all from your teammates and band members" and giggled, "They really love you a lot" she continued. "Indeed they do.." I said, opening each of them excitedly. The gifts were just awesome, some of them being my favourites!

I hugged Mingi, kissed her forehead and said "Thank you for all of this, love". She hugged me back, saying "Don't thank me for that, babe" and kissed my cheek.

After sharing some more sweet moments with her, we headed to have our dinner...

It was already 1:00 AM when we finished washing the dishes and putting stuff back in it's place.

"We took a really long time to have dinner and wind up" I said laughing. "Yeah... I'm gonna get punished tommorow now" she said with a pout. "It's too late now, how about you stay here for the night and leave before the training starts?" I suggested. "That would be good I guess..?"

I led her to the guest bedroom right beside mine."Oh, I remember my sister forgot a few of her clothes last time she came over...maybe you could use them? You won't be comfortable sleeping in that tight skirt isn't it?". "Hmm yeah" she said shyly. "Just give me a minute, I'll find those for you" I said and went to my room to search for those.

When I came back with the clothes in my hand, she was already wearing a hoodie of mine..."You..." I trailed off. "It's so damn comfortable! I'm gonna steal some of your clothes HAHA" she said with an evil smile, all happy wearing my hoodie. It was large enough to cover her till the mid-thigh.

I was standing at the door and smiling....
I love you Mingi..

Wouldn't it be hugging you tight? ~

She ran towards me and hugged me. "I love you too" she said, snuggling. "Did I say it that loudly?" I said laughing.

You who run into my arms ~

"Good night, love" I said stroking her hair, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Good night babe" she smiled. She took my hand which was stroking her hair, in her tiny hands and kissed it.

It's so precious and affectionate,
I want to save it a lot ~

Wishing her a good night for the 1937383th time, I closed the door and headed to my own room. Hopping onto my bed, I sighed in content. "A day with fam and friends, is a day..well spent" I said and dozed off to a sound sleep.
