2 Complicated

Chapter 7

Musatafu Hospital

Midoriya opened his eyes seeing and was left surprised by the change of scenery. "W-where am I... Ochako?" Deku asked himself scanning the room for the brunette. As he turned to look at the side he let out a sigh of relief knowing she was only a few feet away from him. 'Did we move to another room?'

"I see you're awake now young Midoriya." A voice spoke behind Deku. "All Might? W-when did you get here? Where's mom and the Urarakas?" He asked. "They went out to get some fresh air... I also needed to talk to you so... I guess it's a convenience."

"How are you doing kid?" Toshinori asked. "Fine... I guess..." The young man unremarkably replied. "When was Ochako moved here? This room is as big as my mom's apartment..."

"UA offered to pay for young Uraraka's hospital bills... They opted to make sure she gets a good accommodation given the circumstances." All Might answered. "I see... thanks... I bet she'll freak out when she wakes up..." Deku remarked with a faint smile on his face...

"Aizawa told me about yesterday when your classmates visited. I hope you're aware that no one blames you for what happened to young Uraraka..." "Yeah... Mr. Uraraka made that very clear yesterday..." The young man responded still wearing the same half smile. "Thanks All Might..." He added before he approached Ochako's bed.

"By the way young Midoriya, I heard from Nezu that a festival will be held in UA..." "Festival? School hasn't even started yet..." The young man uttered confused. "I wasn't at the meeting but from what I was told, Shiketsu High and UA agreed on a special joint academic training program for this coming semester, and so the faculty deemed it fitting to hold a school festival so the Shiketsu Students will be able to acquaint themselves before the academic year starts." All Might explained.

"Shiketsu and UA working together huh... I guess with everything that happened it's better that way..." Izuku remarked as he carefully fixed Ochako's blanket so she's properly tucked in bed. "Are you planning on participating on the event Young Midoriya?" The veteran hero asked.

"To be honest... I don't know All Might... I don't think everyone would be relieved seeing me after another incident." Izuku confessed as he faced his master. "You don't really believe that do you Young Midoriya?"

"I don't know, maybe?"

All Might sighed at the remark placing his hand on his successor's shoulder. "Young Midoriya, it would take more than an encounter with Muscular for everyone to stop believing in you... You are Deku, a wielder of One for All... the hero who defeated the villain who wreaked havoc for eight generations... and most importantly the new symbol of peace..."

"I don't know if I could ever succeed you on that title All Might..." Deku worryingly replied but still managed to smile at his mentor. "Indeed... you can't..." All Might making his protégé doubt himself for a second before he continued. "You already surpassed me..."

Two weeks passed since the incident happened... The UA faculty officially announced the school festival that will be held to welcome the Shiketsu students. The said event is expected to take place two weeks since the announcement. Thankfully, since Class 2A had been informed way earlier than the rest of the classes, they were able to go through a lot of ideas to work with however, it turns out they ended up going for another concert, with that in mind they officially started preparing. They all gathered at the dining area to plan it.

"So basically... the band will be the same with my girlfriend as the lead singer once again right?" Kaminari asked with a smirk on his face while looking towards Mineta. "Tch WHO ELSE CAN SING?!!! STOP BRAGGING KAMINARI!!"

"Well if you guys are alright with it then I'll be the lead." Jirou volunteered slightly raising her hand. "Wow, we didn't even have to convince you this time, I'm guessing you're looking forward to it." Momo remarked with a smile on her face. "Maybe..." Jirou replied fiddling with her earphone jacks.

"Well it's settled! Jirou will sing! I'm guessing the band will be the same as well?" Iida asked glancing towards a certain ash blonde guy sitting by himself far from the rest.

"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT FOUR EYES?!!!" Bakugo shouted. "Are you going to be playing the drums man?" Kirishima asked peeking his head up high as he is sitting on the chair farthest from his friend.

"NONE OF YOU EXTRAS KNOW HOW TO PLAY DO I EVEN HAVE A CHOICE!!!" He aggressively replied making the rest of the class laugh. "All right that settles the Music department... How about the dance group and the effects department?" Iida inquired. "Why don't we just do the same things? I mean our quirks and talents are fit for it. That's why we ended up with those roles in the first place..." The Half Ice and Fire guy said to which the rest of the class agreed.

"Very well, the roles and responsibilities will be the same as last festival." Iida lowered his head in defeat thinking the whole meeting he came up with was for nothing.

"By the way what about Midoriya, I mean he was part of the dance last year. Is he going to be dancing too?" Just as Toru began to mention the One for All user the dorm's front door creaked open revealing the same guy entering.

"Yo Midoriya! We we're just talking about you man!" Kirishima greeted approaching his friend putting his arm around Midoriya's shoulder.

"Really? Sorry I'm late I kind of overslept looking after Ochako last night." Deku said rubbing the back of his neck. "It's alright Midoriya believe it or not we basically ended up with the same jobs." Mina replied glancing at their class rep. sarcastically. "How are you by the way?" She asked.

"I'm doing alright... Thanks Ashido..." Izuku assured as he took a chair and sat with his classmates. "So... what are you guys talking about? What do you mean by same jobs.." The green haired cinnamon roll asked.

"Oh that! Yeah we decided to do another musical performance!" Toru answered excitedly." "So I guess I'll be part of the dance department again huh." Deku suggested with a casual smile.

"Well if you want to, we know you have to go back to the hospital once in a while." Mina said with a worried look. "It's alright Ashido, I think I'll just stick to dancing, not that I can of course... Although Ochako's parents will need to run some errands once in a while so I'll be the one to take care of her." The brcolli haired Midoriya chuckled at his own reply. "Really?!!! This Is great! Don't worry, this time it won't be as time consuming since you can basically dance now, sooo you would still be able to go back to the hospital for Ochako." Mina reassured. "Thanks Ashido..." Deku smiled.
