rolled his eyes.

"Okay cat"
"Okay rat"

"I could really do well with some cheese balls right now"
Jungkook interrupted.
"Check your pants"

Taehyung pulled his lips together.
He tried to contain a giggle but he couldn't keep it in.
In the matter of seconds the only sound that was heard was the airiness of the happy sounds.
Jeongguk's smile was the thing that painted the room along with it.
Taehyung's hand went up into the air;
a hand five being initiated.

Jungkook shook his head.
"It's not even that funny"
"That's because you have no sense of humour"
Taehyung coughed as he calmed down.
"Whatever"

"Aww. Is someone sour?"
The only brunette in the room teased.
Jungkook remained silent.
"Hey come on. Don't give me the silent treatment now"
Taehyung nudged his side.
He didn't budge.

Taehyung's stomach dropped momentarily.
The flashbacks came back but then he remembered-
They're no longer together in that way.
They're just friends.
He doesn't have to worry much.

"Do you remember when you used to give the silent treatment?"
"Oh c'mon Tae who wouldn't remember those iconic moments?"
"Do you remember how sulky you used to get that Jungkook ignored you?"
Taehyung chuckled softly to himself.
"Yeah...those were the good days believe it or not"

"You always get like this. Cheer up. He's not gonna be mad at you for long"
"Gguk's right, I'm way past that stage. I was just focusing on drawing Bammie's ear properly so I wasn't mad in the first place"
"You weren't?"
"Nope. I'm not the petty Gguk anymore. I'm new and improved so step in line baby"
Jungkook winked.

Taehyung grinned.
Oh how much time had flown.
From strangers to friends,
friends into lovers
and now just friends again.

Nothing major happened.
They all just decided that they acted upon being in a relationship too soon.
One step closer now that they were further into their separate healing journeys;
one step closer into being lovers again.

For now,
they would enjoy being friends.
After all,
the love is still there.
