-C H A P T E R 1- The Hospital

7 Years Prior

[ HOP PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ] - Joyce cried from her porch watching him walk towards the bus that the army picked up their recrutes in.

Hop didnt stop walking to the bus tho, as the future cheif of hawkins he knew that going to fight for his country was the right thing to do, he stepped foot on the bus starting ot regret going to war hearing Joyce cry for him. He sat in the first seat on the bus looking down aisle at all the other men going to fight, in no time he felt the bus start moving, he felt anger for not saying anything to Joyce but he knew if he said anything to her on the day of his leaving he wouldn't leave and start a family with her like he wanted. The tears started to run down his cheek like a fast river as he watched Joyce get smaller and smaller as the bus got further and further from her house 'how am i going to live without her, HOW, i already miss her, I FUCKING LOVE HER' he thought holding his face with his hands trying to cover up his tears.

{Time jump 4 years into war, Hop has broken his arm while on base for the war, and is now in the hospital, and now has been moved out of the war purposely becaus of his injurey}

[ Wait, so he's broken his arm and he's here in hawkins in the emergency room in hawkins] - Joyce asked tiredly and trying to comprehend what the lady was saying because it was 1 o-clock in the morning

[ Yes ma'am, and he asked if you could pick him up, beacuse he's not allowed to leave by himself becasue of his injurey or with anyone under 18] - the lady at the front desked said

[ Okay, i'll be there soon, bye] - Joyce said looking for her car keys

Joyce eventully found her car keys and had alreday kissed her 3 month year old Will on the head and her 5 year Jonathan on the head. She started walking to her front door grabing her purse of the coffe table and putting her jacket on because it was the middle of fall, and it was only 37 degrees outside. It didn't take her long to get to the emergency room to find Hopper standing with his bookbag full of his stuff and a cast on his arm outside the hostital. Hop walked towoards the car with a warm smile that always made Joyce smile and feel butterflies in her stomach, he opened up tha car door to trhe passenger side and hoped in the seat. He went to go place his bookbag in the back when he noticed a booster seat and Jonathans old carseat.

[ Jonathan still sit's in his car seat ] - Hop joked making Joyce laugh

[ No, i had another one, his name is Will ] - Joyce saids smiling

[ Will like your dad? ] - Hop asked intrested

[ Yeah, pretty cool rigth ] - Joyce asked still with the smile Hop put on her face

Hop just noded and gave her a smile back, he wanted to ask if it was lonnies but he knew that they didn't have the best relationship and didn't want her thinking about him. he was exited to meet her new addtion but really exicted to see Jonathan again, they were bestfriends even tho he was only 3 when he left but they had so much in commen. Hop always considered Jonathan his own since he felt that Lonnie was the worst dad in america, Lonnie and Jonathan never got along which offten led to Lonnie putting his hands on Jonathan, which led Jonathan asking Joyce if he could go to Hop house to play with action figures with him or watch a super hero movies with him, since those were his favorite things to do. Soon after Joyce and Hopper little conversation they arrivied at Joyce house.

[ Wait i thought you were taking me to my house ] - Hop asked confused

[ Umm..........about that they tore it down shortly after you left for war ] - Joyce said looking down at her hands on the steering wheel

[ So where am i gonna stay ] - Hop asked a little worried knowing that he might not have a place to stay

[ Hop did the war take your sense out of you, your staying at my place silly ] - she said with a chuckle

[ Is Lonnie okay with it ] - Hop asked with a little anger, saying his name

[ Me and Lonnie aren't together anymore ] - She said with her smile fading

[ It dosen't matter tho ] - she said trying to get the weirdness of talking about Lonnie out if the room

She got out of the car quickly and ran to Hopper's side quickly to help him get out which he didn't need, but she was just really sweet and nice and it just felt like thge right thing to do to her. she pulled her house keys out of her purse and unlocked her front door. To her supprise she saw Jonathan up watching superhero cartoons on tv, Jonathan had a huge gasp when he saw Hopper walk inside the house ''Hulk'' he said running towards him hugging him on his leg since he was a little short for his age, 'Hulk' was what Jonathan had called Hop, and Hop called Jonathan 'Flash' it was there nicknames for eachother. Meanwhile Joyce was supprised as on to why Jonathan was up, he was in deep sleep when he left, but she couldn't be mad at him watching her and Hop play together.

[ Ok boy's i think it's time to go to bed because mommy is really tired ] - Joyce said but almost demanded that it was time to go to bed

[ Awwwww, MOMMY ] - Jonathan cried clinging on to Hopper even tighter

Hop just stood there in aww watching the little boy cling on to him tighter until Joyce gave Hop a nudge motioning Hop to take Jonatham to his room. Hop picked up the small 5 year old and carryied him to his room queit knowing Will's room is beside his and Will's door was cracked.
