Prologue

I ran over to Betty in my new Manolo Blahniks.
"Bye, Amanda!" she chirped in the annoyingly high voice.
"Oh my god, my little taco!" I ran to give her a hug. "Are you FINALLY leaving? Ugh, see you tomorrow!" I went back to my desk, rolling my eyes.
"AMANDA!" she squealed. "No you won't, I'm off to London tomorrow."
"Noooo...." I shook my head decisively. "You are NOT going to London!"
"It's okay to miss me, I'll stay in touch with you guys!" She was WAY to perky, I had to do something.
"Nooo... Darling, I can't let you go to London looking like that!!" I gestured at her outfit: too many patterns!! "You need to wear something like, well, me!" I hopped over the front desk to show her. "You and me, we're gonna take a trip to the Closet!"
