Can We Be Something More?

The Meet(Chapter 1)

Sam's pov:

It's reses at school. I'm playing on the playground. My friend Derik runs up to me. " I dare you to climb up to the top of the jungle jum." he says. I look to the top."That's pretty high" I tell him.

"What are you scared?" he asked me. "No" I say back at him before I started to climb up. I finally arrived at the top. "Impressed" he say at the bottom. I some how loose my balins and fall towards the ground. I thought I was going to die.

But something or rather someone broke my fall. "Are you okay?" a boy asked me. I look at the boy in front of me who had a few scrapes on his body as if someone had pummeled him. Wait did I do that?

"Yeah, I'm fine, but what about you?" I ask him. "I'm fine" he says smiling and holding out a hand to help me up. As I took his hand to try and get up, I suddenly flinch from a pain in my right leg. "Oww" I say in pain.

"I'll help you to the nurses office." as he puts my arm around his neck, to help me walk."Thanks" I say. "I'm Luka by the way" he says as we walk off. "Sam" I tell him.

*Skip to nurses office*

"You could have broken a bone from that height. Be greatly it's just a big scrape." she told me.

*after she treated him*

I walk out of the office to find Luka sitting in the hall. "Why are you still here?" I ask him. "Well I wanted to make sure you were okay." he said. "Well I'm fine now." I tell him. "why did you break my fall?" I ask him. "Well I didn't want you to die." he said. "Okay, well the see you around." I asy before I start to walk off."Wait,i was wondering if you'd like to be friends?" he asked me before I walked away.

"Ummm... Sure." I said unsure of what just happened. "YES" he says existedly. All I can think of is how weird this kid is, but it could be worse.

*home time*

"Sam what happened to you?" my mother asked me as I got into the car. "I fell of the jungle jum." I tell her. "How high were you?" she asked. "The top." I told her. "Why?" she asked me. She's asking too many questions. "Derik dared me" I tell her. "Don't do it again. You might get hurt worse than this time." she warned me. "Okay" I say. "I made a new friend" I tell her. "What's their name?" she asks. "His name is Luka" I say.
"Wait Luka Adamson?" she asked. "I think so." I say

"That's my friend at works son's name." she said. "Okay" I say. "He's a really sweet kid you two will get along well." she said with a smile.

(Skip to the next day)

I arrive at school. "See you later, hun." my mom said. "See you" I say before she left.
I start to walk to class. I sit down at my table alone as usual. "Hey Sam sorry about yesterday." Derik said when he walked up to me. "It's okay I'm still alive." I tell him. "Settle down kids." said the teacher.

(Skip to lunch)

I go outside to eat my lunch as everyone else went to play. "Hey, Sam." Luka says as he approaches me. "Hi" I say. "What do you have for lunch?" He asked me as he sat down next to me. "So pizza and a juice box, you?" I asked. "Burger and a juice box as well." he said. We sat and ate our food and talked to get to know each other.

"So you really have a big family don't you Luka." I say after hearing about all of his family members."You also have a big family, but not as big as mine." Luka says.

*bell rings*

"See you later." Luka said as we both walked our separate ways to class.
