The aftermath (part 2)

Reseda LA, on a hot summer night.

In the weeks that followed his last meeting with the Larusso's, Johnny had tried his best to avoid Daniel; he still couldn't admit to himself that he had fallen madly in love with his longtime rival, and his manly ego was suffering: how was he going to shake the strong feelings he was experiencing for the tall dark haired man, and when exactly did it happen? Closing his eyes briefly, he tried to remember but his memory was blank. Frustrated with himself, the athletic blond man groans and mutters aloud,

'But I'm supposed to hate him!'

Miguel, who happens to walk nearby hears Johnny speak aloud, and frowning he asks: "what did you say Sensei?"

"Nothing...I guess I was just thinking aloud." The tall athletic blond man replies, blushing.

"Are you sure you're okay sensei?"

"I'm okay. It's just that the heat is almost unbearable." Johnny replies, taking a sip of the canned beer he was holding in his hands.

"Whatever you say, but how about if we go to the Larusso's swimming pool tomorrow to freshen up? I already promised Sam that...."

Johnny chokes on his beer as Miguel raves about the Larussos, and shaking in convulsion he is seized by a sudden coughing attack.

"Oh my god sensei: did you swallow the wrong way?"

And without wasting any time, the curly dark haired teenager slaps his sensei on the back to stop the cough: "you should maybe take it easy with the beer, eh?"

"How could you even consider that I would go back to the Larussos, after the fiasco from last time?" Johnny exclaims, outraged.

"I'm sorry sensei...I just thought it would be a good idea, since we are practically like family."

"The Larussos like a family: In your dreams!"

And fuming aloud, Johnny goes back inside the house and slams the door behind him.

"Sensei?"

Miguel stares at the closed door bewildered: what kind of beast had bitten his sensei?

And shrugging his shoulders, he goes inside his own house more confused than ever.....

LA, at the Larusso's mansion Sunday at noon.

"Hello Miguel, how is it going? I haven't seeing Johnny for a while now, is he okay?" Daniel asks, as soon as he spots the curly dark haired teenager sunbathing next to the swimming pool. It was a very hot and sunny Sunday, and after failing to convince his sensei to come with him to the Larusso's mansion, Miguel had given up and driven by himself.
