"One wronged.... The Other forgotten." (RWBY fanfic)

The middle of the night.

It was a night at the heart of Mantle. On the streets, a man was walking alongside a group of men in black, dressed head-to-toe as they are indistinguishable. They were around people and around the buildings, there is no way an assassin or a sniper would be able to catch them. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.

High above the roof tops, an armored man dressed in black and blue peers down the scope of his rile as he steadies his breath before aiming directly at the center of the group. He cocks back his gun as a cloud of dense black smoke covers around him. Once he was steady, he fired.

The bullet went into the person's head before it exploded, causing havoc on the streets as the remaining men tried to cover for another, but they were being killed one by one. The boss ran through the alley in hopes of getting away from the sniper. However, in one wrong turn he came face-to-face with an Ace Ops. She was tall a bit young with white hair and stroking red accents on top. She had a smile on her face as her crimson red eyes darted towards the person infront of her.

"Well, took you long enough." She approaches him with a calm, bur firm tone as she put her hands behind her back - where her weapons were primed. She put a hand infront and said, "If you come with me, I promise no one is going to hurt you."

The Boss didn't buy it. And with any opportunity, he made a mad dash out of the Ace Ops sight, before he was gunned down from above.

The Ace Operative looked up to see a familiar gunman with his distinctive armor and weapon as well as his glowing blue visor. She called out to him, "You just want to make his harder don't you?"

The gunman stare back at the Ace Operative before walking away from the rooftop. But this doesn't stop the Operative from jumping onto the roof to catch him, but the only thing left was smoke... a rather cold smoke.

She took a sigh before reporting in with command, telling them, "Command, this is Ace Operative Rosemary, the target is no longer alive. But I have encountered him - The Winter Ghost."
