After Natalie had left the room, I dragged myself up from the couch and into my room - practically collapsing onto my bed. Apparently my body was still tired as my eyelids kept slowly closing. This went on for a few more minutes until I finally gave in and let my mind be taken, once again, to the world of sleep.

I hear a dialing tone as I attempt to focus my eyes on the hazy image in front of me. I strain my sight until the image becomes clear - it's Natalie. She's on the phone. "What do you want, Natasha?" A voice comes from the other end of the line.

"Still on the mission, Fury. Remember?" She replies with a smirk.

"Oh, right. Sorry, agent Romanoff." He scoffs in response, "Now what do you want? I was sleeping."

"I have information," She sighs, "Do you want it or not?"

"What have you got?" Somehow I can hear him sitting up from this end of the phone.

"Tony Stark." She states.

"What about Tony Stark?" He asks, gruffly.

"It's not about Tony Stark, it's about his sister." She says, playfully rolling her eyes and grinning, although he can't see her.

He grunts in annoyance. "Get on with it, then."

"She could hear my heartbeat."

"I think that's normal, Natasha. I gather you were in close proximity." He sighs.

"I don't know what you mean, Fury. You know full well I don't like people. And I meant that she could hear my heartbeat to the point that it was painful for her."

"Interesting. I'll look into that." He says, writing something down, "Thank you, Romanoff. Keep me updated."

"That's what I'm here for." She chuckles, hanging up.

She places the phone onto the desk in her room, making her way out the door. She walks down the hall until she comes to a stop outside a doorway. She cautiously opens the door and enters the room. She sits down on the bed and turns to look at the girl sleeping there. "Wake up, милый."  She whispers, turning her over.

It's me.

"Wake up, милый." She tries again.

"Wake up, милый." She repeats.

"'M awake." I mumble, tiredly.

"Someone's clearly tired." She chuckles.

"Who?" I question stupidly, sleep still fogging my brain.

She starts laughing. God, she's beautiful - especially right now. Her head thrown back, the joyous sound of her laughter filling the room. The orangey-pink light of the sunset coming in through hits her in just the right way, highlighting her sharp jawline, hot-chili curls and gorgeous green eyes...

The sound of the elevator dings loudly in the background.

I panic for a second until I hear the sound of my brother's obnoxious voice. It's already giving me a headache.

"I still can't believe you made us come back early." I hear Pepper grumble in response to whatever he just said.

"But it was boring! " He whines. Quite dramatically, might I add. "I couldn't stand to be there for a second longer!"

"Whatever!" Pepper sighs, and there's a dulled bang as she drops her bags to the floor.

I refocus my attention to Natalie, who's now looking at me with concern written all over her face. "You okay?" She questions.
