The next day Duri woke up early, she'd been having trouble sleeping and last night was no exception. She laid in bed for a while and went over last night's dinner in her head. She hadn't expected to feel that way when he shook her hand. She felt shy and got butterflies in her stomach. She let out and exacerbated sigh and put a pillow over her face hoping she'd melt into the sheets and become one with the bed. Of course she was happy that they'd agree to try and be friends, but why did her body have to react that way. It was so embarrassing.
Eventually she decided that falling back asleep wasn't going to happen and rolled out bed. She made her way downstairs and found Jae in the kitchen making breakfast like always, the thing was if she was still cooking that meant Minho was still home. She wasn't wanting to avoid him, friends don't avoid each other, but after what happened last night when they shook hands she was nervous to see him.
"Good morning, Jae" She said walking in to the kitchen and sitting at the island. "What'cha making?" She asked.
"You know, I like this new you, the old you never ate my food for some reason." She said smiling and putting a plate of scrambled eggs, sausage, and fruit in front of me.
"Why not?" She asked confused, what did she eat if she wasn't eating Jae's food?
"Something about watching your figure" She rolled her eyes and turned back around to fill another plate.
"Wow, I was boring." Duri replied as she popped a piece of melon in her mouth. "Your food is amazing." She shrugged as she dug into the scrambled eggs.
"Good morning, Minho" Jae said as he entered the kitchen.
Duri went rigid for a moment before she remembered they were trying to be friends. "Good morning" She said quietly to him as he sat down next to her with his own food. Duri was happy that at least he left a stool between them. She didn't think she could handle him being that close this early in the morning.
"You're never up this early" He said as he started to eat.
"Because I was avoiding you, doesn't mean I wasn't awake." She replied smiling at him. "We're trying to be friends, remember?" Her smile was starting to become an addiction for him. Her eyes would sparkle and her face would light up, and it made him give her a slight side smile back at her.
"Right. I'll be home earlier tonight if you want to do dinner again." He said not looking at her, "Friends eat together, right?"
"They do, I'll be here. Not like I've got anywhere to go." She smiled. He couldn't help but feel excited, something about the new version of Duri was turning his entire world on it's head. After Choa he promised himself one thing. That he'd never let himself get emotionally involved with anyone again, because nothing lasts forever so why start something if it's only temporary and causes you pain in the end. Duri though was pulling at his heart strings and as scared as he was to fully feel how he was feeling, he also didn't want to stop.
Duri watched him as he left and couldn't help but smile a little to herself as she thought about that side smile smirk thing he did and how it made her heart jump a little. Just when she realized she was staring at his back as he left, she realized Jaw was giving her a look and smiling. She instantly looked directly at Jae. "We're friends, Jae Woo. That's all."
"Mmhmm. That's not what I seeeee" She laughed and finished her own breakfast as I put my plate in the sink and went about my day hoping it would go quickly so I could see Minho again.

A couple weeks later as they sat at the dinner table, she decided that twenty questions would apparently be entertaining. Every time she tried to think of another question she would bit her lip and squint at him like she was trying to see something that wasn't there.
