Harry and Ron were both getting ready for the Yule Ball. Harry fixed his bow tie, staring into a full body mirror. He was pretty confident in himself surprisingly. He smiled brighter at the mirror as he saw who was coming up behind him. Harry turned around to face Ron. He almost couldn't keep his laughter down.

"You...look good." Harry snickered lowly. The outfit Ron had on made him look like an old lady.
"Ugh, don't even try to compliment me, Harry. I know I look like my Great Aunt Tessie," Ron smelled his sleeve, "I smell like my Great Aunt Tessie.." Ron frowned. He looked hopeless. Harry thought he looked like such a dork.

"I have a suit like this one if you want to wear that instead." Harry insisted he wear one of his good looking suits.
"My mum would get mad if I didn't wear this." Ron groaned and sat down on the Gryffindor common room couch. All of the other students in Gryffindor had already left so they would be early to the ball.

"Ron, I don't want you embarrassing yourself out there," Harry gestured towards the stairs. Harry honestly didn't want people to start making fun of him from his old medieval outfit, but he really just wanted to see Ron in an actual suit.

Ron went quiet for a few seconds just thinking.
"Fine. I'll wear your suit. Will it fit me?" Ron questioned.
"Most likely. I don't think it's the same colour though," Harry guessed. They just about had the same body.
"Fine with me, Anything other than this..." Ron had followed Harry, who had went up to the beds to search for the suit.

After Harry had found the suit and Ron put it on, Harry finally looked to see what Ron looked like in the suit.
(I know it's just Rupert Grint and not Ron, but y'know)

Harry was sitting on the couch waiting for Ron to finish putting on the suit

Harry was sitting on the couch waiting for Ron to finish putting on the suit. He had his head propped up on his hand (his elbow was on the armrest). Ron marched in front of Harry, noticeably more confident than before with his other outfit.

"Harry...I might have to leave you to go dance with other girls tonight~" Ron giggled to himself. Harry was not fond of his giggling. He was kind of hoping that nobody went with either of them just so he could dance with his best friend.
Harry got up so he was face to face with Ron.

"Hermione might want to dance with you now." Harry smirked and nudged Ron with his elbow.

"...Probably not...there's no way she's going to ditch whoever she's going with." Ron's confident expression faded. He definitely wanted to dance with Hermione, but she wasn't the only one he wanted to dance with.

"At least you'll actually get somebody, I'm stuck with Malfoy." Harry groaned in his speech. He flopped back down onto the couch, sinking into it. Ron soon joined him.

"Should we even go? I mean, we don't have anybody to go with-anyone good."
"I have to go. So you might as well come with me." Harry responded after a few seconds of silence.
"I guess you have a point."
"If we have to, we could always dance with each other," Harry insinuated, glaring away from Ron.
"Dancing with you would be better than dancing with nobody. I wouldn't be alone at least. But come on, we'll figure it out as we go." Ron got up off the couch, putting his hand out to help Harry off the couch.
"Yeah, we always do." Harry accepted Ron's help, getting to his feet.

Harry and Ron eventually made it to the Yule Ball. Harry wasn't looking forward to seeing Draco there. He looked over the sea of people, but he never saw any platinum blonde hair. Needless to say, he was relieved. He didn't expect Draco to show up anyway.
"I don't see Malfoy...I didn't expect much from him." Harry's mouth slowly turned into a small smile.

After Harry had to dance with Parvati Patill and Ron with Padma Patil, and they were just sitting.
"Are you gonna ask me to dance?" Padma asked Ron, clearly annoyed with him.
"No.." Ron answered honestly.
Padma and Parvati both left after a couple more minutes.

"I don't know how I wanted this to go, but this wasn't it." Ron slumped where he was sitting.
"Hm..we.." Harry hesitated, "Could still dance together....if you want t-" Harry implied.
"Oh my GOD, Harry, I thought you were never going to ask! I've been waiting forever!" Ron cut him off and immediately shot up. Harry was a bit shocked to see Ron that excited to dance with him. Harry's frown quickly turned into a bright smile. He laughed softly and got up as well. Both of them went back to where everybody else was dancing.

Unfortunately as Harry and Ron were dancing, Draco spotted them from afar. He was in one of the corners with Crabbe and Goyle.
"Ugh.." Draco...actually wanted Harry to go with him.
"What is it?" His friends were confused.
"It's none of your business." Draco snapped.
"You didn't actually want to dance with Potter did you?"
"Of course not!" Draco scoffed at the two beside him. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall behind him. Draco would've normally stormed over to Harry and Ron, but he just wasn't feeling it. He stared at the two having fun for the entire rest of the night.
