Don't Die On Me

"So the only thing that's actually changed is that Beatrix sacrificed herself for nothing. Sucks for her." Sebastian's words reached Stella, cutting open a new reality for her.

"Sacrificed herself?" she whispered to herself. Stella looked at where the Blood Witch had directed his words and that's when she saw her. Beatrix. There. Lying dead on the floor with her head surrounded by a halo of blood. Tears were threatening to leave her eyes as she walked over to the air fairy, her breathing becoming uneven. She was dead. And she had sacrificed herself. But it wasn't for nothing. Stella was going to make sure of that.

Her eyes started to change as she tapped into the full potential of her power. Her friends had realised what she was doing and did the same, they all transformed. But they were doing it to kill Sebastian. Stella was doing it to avenge Beatrix. When the ordeal was over and Sebastian was gone, she was immediately at her friend's side.

Her physical strength had been drained by transforming and she didn't have the strength or the motivation to stop her emotions from bubbling over. Sobs wracked her body as she brushed Beatrix's red hair out of her face. She couldn't be dead. No.

"She's still alive," a voice said from behind her. Stella turned around, tears streaming down her face as her eyes met with someone else's.

"You better not be joking, Blood Witch, or so help me I will murder you right here and now, the same way I did him." Bloom, Terra and Aisha were shocked at Stella's behaviour. Since when did she have such a close relationship with the person who had betrayed them over and over again?

"I'm not," Grey said, stepping close, cautious as to not trigger the light fairy. "Her heart is still beating but if you want her to live, you need to let me keep it going until we can get some help."

"I'll call my dad now," Terra offered, walking out of the room immediately to make the call.

"Let him do it," Aisha urged. She hated Grey and she hated Beatrix but if Grey was the only way to keep Beatrix alive and if Beatrix being alive would make Stella happy, she was going to make sure it happened.

"Fine, but try any tricks and-"

"And you'll kill me the same way you did Sebastian. Yeah. Got it." Grey set to work, the battle at Alfea slowly coming to its end. Musa and Riven soon joined them, though they quickly left with Sky and Bloom to get the specialist some medical help.

"Where is she?" Professor Harvey came in, offering his help. Aisha directed him to where Grey and Stella were with Beatrix's barely alive body.

"We'll need to do this here and now, we can't risk damaging her neck anymore and killing her for good." He grabbed the kit he'd brought with him, opening it to reveal its contents.

"I can reset the neck and heal it," Grey stated.

"Are you sure you can do it without further damage?" he said, wary of the boy in front of him.

"Yes."

"Then do it." He looked at the other two in the room. "Aisha, get Stella out of here, she needs rest." Aisha moved forward to support Stella before the fairy protested.

"No." She said moving away and closer to Beatrix. "I'm staying with her, I'm not leaving."

"Stella," Professor Harvey intervened, his voice gentle. "You can't help us here, we'll let you know when she's stable and you can come and visit her then. But right now, Grey and I need to focus on keeping her alive. Okay?" Stella stared at the man for a good few moments before relenting and letting Aisha pull her up.

"Don't you dare die on me," she said to Beatrix, knowing she couldn't respond, as Aisha led her away.
