All I felt in that moment was the last time we touched. I could feel the warmth of his body.....the warmth of his hand sliding down my forearm. The look in his eyes that I witnessed when I lifted my head made me break. His eyes watering as he heads towards his car and leaves me all alone....dying inside. I couldn't stop him. The whole time I watched him slip away from me the only thing going through my mind was how much I love him. I watched him break down in the car through the rear view mirror. I fell to my knees' on the driveway and sat there as the night got darker and darker.
It has been close to three weeks since he left and my mind can't forget the fact that he hasn't said a thing. Everyone tells me that once I get through senior year and go off to college I will forget about him for good. I'm really not sure if I want to. Every night I go to bed and all that comes to my mind is the memories from when we were younger. The thought of going through my senior year without my best friend makes me feel as if I'm being locked in a prison for eternity. Will was one of the greatest things that has ever entered my life.....I don't think I will ever find someone that makes me feel they way he made me feel.
He was the only one that believed in me enough to tell me that whatever the rest of the world though would ever affect me because I would always have him. I had fallen in LOVE with my best friend and the fact is......I can't ever give him up. If I could go back to my freshman year I would, just so I could tell him. As I drove to school my first day of senior year all that goes through my mind is.....him. Amanda looks over at me and sighs about 10 times before she actually opens her mouth. I have been friends with her since elementary school and she has never left my side. She watches my face as I slowly start to lose my fake smile.
I pull into the parking lot and as I open the door to get out, Miss Bitch decides that she has the right to rip my door off. As her bitchiness gets out of her car she looks at me, gives me a rude look, and slowly backs away. We were friends until the day Miss Bitch, a.k.a Amber, made the cheerleading squad and left me. As I walked away I turned and said, "If you want to be a bitch I suggest going somewhere....where people actually care about what you have to say." Amanda looked at me in shock because she never thought I would actually yell something like that in the parking lot. "I have never known someone who can be upset about losing someone then go call Amber a Bitch", Amanda said. I looked over and started to laugh.
I walked into class and sat down in the back of the class where I'm hoping I will never be seen. almost everyone in school looked at me and gave me some shitty fake smiles to try and make me feel as if everything will be okay in the end. The teacher went up and down the rows calling all our names lout one by one and I heard my name. I looked up at her then walked out of the class like nothing really mattered to me. I stood in the hall outside of Amanda's room 6th period waiting for her to come out so we could leave. She came out and we went over to my locker so I could make sure I had all my stuff before we left.
I saw something that made it look as if someone had dented my locker from the inside out....it was a note. It read.....
"Don't worry about anything in the past.....just focus on what is going to come next" -Unknown
I had no idea who would have written something like that and put it in my locker......I was clueless. Amanda had walked over to the doors' and sent me a text to see what's going on. I stared at the text and it felt like time was rushing ahead.....as if time was speeding up to get me closer to what I needed. I walked over to her and she could tell that something had truly puzzled me. We got to the car. I started the car and in my mind images of Will slowly came and I didn't know how to react to such a strong feeling.
We got home and started to get all of our shit out of the back seat of my car when someone drove by really fast and threw something out the window. It looked like a rock but I couldn't tell for sure so I walked closer to it and and saw that there was a number written on this ball and underneath it said to text it. I quickly walked through the kitchen and up to my room, right as I was about to text the number Amanda walked in. I took the ball and casually slid it behind my back so she wasn't able to see it. She looked at me and said, "Hey your brother is here and wants to give you something and is refusing to leave until he sees you." I nodded, got up, and walked down stairs.
Jordan looked at me and slowly started to walk closer and when I got to the bottom of the stairs he hugged me. I could see a look in his eye that said I miss you and I really wish I didn't always have to come here. I have never seem him look so sad a desperate but when it comes to living with my parents I doubt it. He handed me the box. I opened it to see a new laptop to do my writing on this year. He smiled, hugged me once more, and and then left like nothing was happening between us. Amanda slowly closed to door and looked at me confused not understanding what she had just witnessed between me and my brother.
We slowly backed away when I heard my phone going off upstairs and she tried to beat me to it. I had gotten a missed call from a blocked number and had a feeling that whoever is trying to get to me isn't going to give up on me. Amanda yelled up about dinner and said she had ordered it but I had to go pick it up. I changed and grabbed my keys off my desk but as I started walking down the steps I got a text. It said......
"You don't want to text me so I decided I would text you" -unknown
I dropped my phone down the steps in shock knowing that someone out there isn't going to stop until they get me.
I picked my phone up off the steps and raced into the garage then into my car to get dinner. As I backed down the driveway I knew there was a car that looked familiar parked not too far down the street from my house. I watched out my side view mirror as I started down the street and after I was about 100ft away he started to follow me. I watched him follow me till I got to the restaurant, then he just disappeared. I raced in and out of the restaurant and back to the house. When I walked in I yelled to Amanda to make sure all the doors are locked then got my dinner and went to my room. I ate, shut my phone off and plugged it in, then went to bed. I didn't want to know what texts I would get that night.....
