Alec Lightwood: Training

You and Alec lightwood have been best friends ever since you were little, Both of your parents believing that maybe just one day you guys will get married but in your minds that was never in question till now.

Lately yours and Alec's friendship has changed quite a bit since he found out that you've had a crush on his sister since you guys first met, finding out that you've been bisexual this whole time but that's not the only thing that's changed, as the days go by Alec has been becoming more and more distant from you, Keeping secrets from you which you don't find out till later what they are till it's too late.
You've also been very busy with going on missions with high warlock of Brooklyn Magnus Bane so Alec isn't the only one being distant. You had just found that you were recruited for one of the most dangerous and important missions of your life along with a few others including your " best friend" Alec so you've decided that the best option is for you train before the big mission about to take place just within the next few days.

* In the Training room *

You can be seen quickly punching one of the punching bags taking punches with each hand in quick pattern left right left right left, your punches getting quicker as the rage builds inside of you till your sweating and heavily breathing. You stop punching the bag taking a minute to yourself, grabbing your sweat towel whipping the sweat from your face in a very attractive motion, Having no clue that you were being watched very thoroughly from the door way leaving the training room but that's not only person who is watching her very closely. Alex had been watching from a distance trying to gather the courage to talk to you since you guys haven't talked in a while. You walk over to the large stereo plugged into the wall putting on a song to work out to

Just before the song starts playing there is a knock on the wall of the Training room catching your attention... as you turn around you see who it is, surprised at first but then again you remembered that Alec usually trains everyday at 8am, you grab your phone real fast as you turn your back towards him looking at the time seeing that it had just turned 8 o'clock. No one said one word for a while till

Alec: What are you doing here? He said Crossing his arms in the process

You don't respond you just keep wrapping your hands in a workout bandage getting ready to train 

Alec: Fine give me the silent treatment I see how it is

Y/n: * silence *

You continue to ignore him going on your way and beginning to train even more

Alec: look I know this is gonna be awkward but if I've learned anything from Jace it is that being honest is always a good thing so can you at least talk to me

You can tell that Alec is getting frustrated which made you chuckle a bit

Y/n: You really think that Jace knows about being honest... I mean have you met the guy

Alec: oh look you talk I thought you were going to be mute this whole time

Y/n: nah I just needed an excuse to talk about something besides you know I could use a training partner

Alec: I don't know I'd have to think about it

Y/n: oh come on... like old times sake?

Alec: why do you think I'm here

Alec flashes his bright cheeky smile at you causing you to smile just a bit before composing yourself

The 2 start training going back and forth trying to hit each other with one of your guys boxing sticks but it's no use, you are both extremely skilled so as you try to hit him he decides to have a chat with you getting cocky at the same time

Alec: it's come to my realization that we haven't talked much lately

Y/n: are you just now realizing that? Wow

Alec: Well it's just ever since that night we haven't talked that's all

Y/n: I've been busy

Alec: oh yeah doing what?

Y/n: Jace has been having me go on missions with him lately you know just to get me out in the field more and stuff like that

Alec: Ah so you are my replacement huh?

Y/n: What do you mean?

Alec: I'm going to be taking a break from the Team for a few till after everything with the clave is over

Y/n: What are they doing here? I mean— I knew there was a wedding that's supposed to be happening soon but that's all I knew about it

Alec: ummm

Alec seems to go speechless for a few seconds not knowing what to say before whispering something under his breath

Alec: it's my wedding

You immediately stop training as you had began to become out of breath for random reason

Alec: Oh my god are you okay

Y/n: yeah I'm fine I just kinda over did it a bit that's all

You put your stick away taking a few deep breath's, calming down your heart from a past pace beat to a steady pace beat 1,2.  1.2.  1,2.  1,2, after a few seconds you are finally calm

Alex: you good?

Y/n: I'm good, so what's this about you taking a break?

Alex: well I have something to tell you, I knew it was going to come out eventually but...

Y/n spit it out... you know what I've always said:be direct Lightwood  

Alec: the Wedding happening.... it's my wedding

Something inside you seemed different, felt different, you didn't know but the idea of your best friend was getting married to someone you didn't even know bugged you.

Y/n: oh.... Oh.... Umm congratulations! I'm so happy for you

You hesitate at first before opening your arms to give Alec a hug, a very awkward hug , Alec also hesitated to except it and hug back at first but after a few seconds into the hug he hugged back tighter, bringing your body closer to his, him never wanting to let go of you, after a few minutes you break the hug, pulling your body away from his leaving him kinda disappointed,

Alec: yeah thanks umm so I was wondering would you like to come, I could really use one of my best friends there by my side other than Jace

Y/n: yeah of  course I'll just have to find a date first I guess

Alec: yeah right
