Jiang Yuelou and Chen Yuzhi were sitting together on the couch in Jiang Yuelou's living room. Xiao Bai had been watching the two of them all day.

He was desperate for some petting and had tried several times in vain to cuddle between them or at least get their attention.

Zero chances, as the cat had to admit to himself after hours of failure.

The two stuck with their faces and their bodies so close together in every free minute that not even a grain of rice would have found space between them.

Sullenly, Xiao Bai plodded back and forth in front of the sofa where his two providers sat. Again and again he stared at YueZhi.

Xiao Bai had started to call them that secretly because they had only been seen together for some time now. Often times they looked almost like one person rather than two.

They had very different characters, but they complemented each other so perfectly in everything that it sometimes could almost make one sick.

Especially when one of them completed the other's sentence, and then they looked dreamily into each other's eyes and smiled at each other. Usually their faces were glued together again for a long time afterwards.

It wasn't that Xiao Bai didn't like the two of them spending a lot more time together now. This also allowed him to see Keying much more often.

This smaller person was not distracted by anyone else but often devoted her attention exclusively to the cat.

Unfortunately, Keying was not around at the moment and Xiao Bai had no idea when she would be back. The cat was already getting withdrawal symptoms from not being petted and cared for.

Well, they didn't let him starve and every now and then they found a little time for stroking his fur, but far too little and not at all today.

Xiao Bai was close to tears. He didn't deserve this after all. Resignedly, he dropped to the floor right in front of the sofa and lay there motionless.

Jiang Yuelou and Chen Yuzhi had heard the slumping sound that the cat had made and let go of each other to look at Xiao Bai.

He looked so sad that Chen Yuzhi's heart felt like it was being squeezed. He immediately stood up and took the cat in his arms.

"Xiao Bai, what's wrong? You look so sad," Chen Yuzhi asked, a tear forming in the corner of his eye in sympathy.

"Meow," Xiao Bai made softly.

"Are you feeling neglected?"

"Meow."

"Sorry. You'll get some extra petting for that now." With these words, Chen Yuzhi sat down again on the couch next to Jiang Yuelou with the cat in his arms.

Jiang Yuelou, however, did not welcome the interruption at all. He almost, but only almost loved the cat as much as the cute doctor right next to him.

Chen Yuzhi, however, now devoted himself exclusively to the cat and stroked its soft fur, much to Jiang Yuelou's displeasure. Xiao Bai was happy, which he made known by purring loudly and contentedly.

At some point, Jiang Yuelou became a bit jealous and now felt neglected on his part. He sat sulking on the couch with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

Suddenly, he heard Chen Yuzhi laughing softly. Jiang Yuelou turned to face him, only to be met by his delightful smile that revealed his irresistible dimples.

With such a sight, how could Jiang Yuelou still harbor any negative feelings. His grim expression immediately gave way to a soft smile.

"What's wrong Yuelou?"
