Rudra's POV
Everything was going smoothly and everyone was enjoying the party. My mom was really happy she wanted this year to be celebrated with only family members.
I know Aadhya was nervous to meet everyone but I knew she would do good. Most of the time I was around her to ensure her that everything will be fine.
Anyone can think she is doing too good but I know she is struggling a lot from the inside. She is trying to make conversations with everyone.
I am lucky to have her. I know how afraid she is but I know she is doing all this for me. I was ok if she did not much effort into this and just sit and enjoy the party. She is really trying with everyone.
Throughout the whole gathering, everyone welcomed her but Kiara was behaving weirdly with her. When she showed her stubbornness and said she wanted to sit between us it was strange but I let it slide.
Kiara is not a child who shows any stubbornness in front of anyone. She is the most well-behaved child.
I thought to talk to her but before that, there was her outburst about not taking Aadhya with us. She ran to her room after that. I know Aadhya is hurt by her behavior but she won't say it.
So here I am standing in front of her door and knocking on the door for the last 5 minutes. "Princess please open the door," I said and knock on the door again.
Then there was a twisting of the knob and the door opened. I opened it to enter when I saw her lying on the bed.
I went and sat on the bed beside her. I stroked her hair but she removed my hand. It is strange as she never does that. She might be angry with anyone but not with me.
"Princess talk to me" I finally said and pulled her on my lap. "I don't want to talk about it," she said and buried her head in my chest.
I know something is going on inside her head. "We tell each other everything. Now come on tell me what's going in your pretty head?" I tried to ask her.
She lifted her head and said, "I don't want you to marry her". I know she is referring to Aadhya but I can't think of any reason for that.
"Why?" I asked her. "Because if you will marry her she will become your princess and eventually you will forget about me," she said with tears in her eyes.
I tried to suppress my laughter at her innocence and said "But she will never be my princess." She raised her eyebrow at me and gave me a look that says you are lying.
"She is my queen and you are my princess. You both are an important part of my life and you can't replace each other. Think of it like this I and your dad are both important to you but don't we hold different places in your heart?" I asked her. She nodded her head saying yes.
"So in the same way, you both have different places in my heart. When I will marry her I will never forget you." I kissed her cheeks and removed her tears from my fingers.
"Ok, I get it now. Sorry for being so rude" she said with guilt on her face. "Please don't be angry with me" she continued.
"I will never be angry with you. You kiss.... are kiss.... my kiss.... princess" I said by kissing her cheeks each time.
"But you have to promise me you will always talk to me about whatever is going on in your brain," I said to her. "Pinky promise" she showed her finger.
I laughed at her cuteness. "But you have to say sorry to someone else also. Will you? I asked her. "Ok I will," she said.
"Ok I will call her here and you can say whatever you feel ok, I told her. She just nodded in understanding. I fetched my phone and asked Aadhya to come upstairs.
I know she might be feeling bad but showing a brave face. I wanted both of them to have a good relationship with each other. They both are important people in my life. I don't want to choose between both of them.
Suddenly I felt a hand trying to tickle me. I looked at the devil and said "Oh you did not do it" I started to tickle her and now her laughter could be heard in the room.
