"Vera? you, ok?" Hailey asked. "Yea I'm good I was just thinking about-" Vera started and looked down at their shoes. Steffany looked down at her shoes too. "Is everything ok?" Eight asked with concern. Bailey pressed her light pink heart-shaped lips together as she studied Vera. She took a glance at their eyes, which looked very similar to her own. "Well, would you five like to see where you will be staying?" Bailey questioned looking a little bit shaken. Vera shot their head up the second the words left Bailey's mouth. "Sure!" Steffany exclaimed with excitement. Vera let out a sigh of relief as they looked back at Bailey. "Alright, just this way then." Eight said as he walked farther into the village. He bit his bottom lip, as he seemed to know something was up but decided not to acknowledge it for the time being.
The village was a bit plainer farther in but still just about as beautiful as the entrance. The smell of flower petals and baked goods filled the air with a sweet smell. The village was something you would find in a fairy tale or a fantasy you'd have while trying to fall asleep while you lay wide awake in bed. The five kids stood in awe taking in the sights and smells. James's short curly dark blonde hair swayed in the calm and gentle breeze.
They kept going farther and farther into the village until they reached a forest. The forest was dark but somehow still filled with light. The trees towered far into the sky, which was now a milky sunset with many colors. Too many to count. The stars were just appearing and looked dusted across the sunset. Almost like fairy dust.
The forest was bustling with animals of all sizes and colors. "This place is so pretty!" Steffany exclaimed, in awe as everyone came to a wooden cottage. There were flowers just starting to bloom in the front garden, with a tree that provided just the right amount of shade. "Welcome to our home!" Bailey said happily as she skipped towards the cottage. Eight chuckled softly as Bailey's caramel colored hair blew in her face.
