Finally, after three months your dominant hand had fully healed, and your brother was allowing you to write again. This was also the final straw for him, he couldn't risk you getting hurt, or worse. You understood where he was coming from, his entire clan crumpled in front of him, and he could do nothing to stop it.

You tried to see it as positively as you could, since you were house bound you had much time to think over all the things you've done in your life. Grabbing a piece of paper from one of the storage compartments you padded your way back to your desk, picking up your pen you began mindlessly jotting down memories that came to your mind.

Perhaps that one time your brother had gotten stuck in a hydro slime, or even when he attempted making you a birthday cake, but he got distracted by the leaves outside and it burned. Though, the memory that you will never allow to slip your mind was what you put on the letter first of course.

Picking up the blade for the first time, not long after you started walking, your brother assisted you in holding the blade correctly. Your mother and brother were very enthusiastic about you picking up the family art, but your father dismissed it completely, finding it useless as the family was already falling apart.

And he was correct, luckily your brother had managed to get into contact with a clan still in their prime and have you resided there until things were figured out. About to go on a whole trail on how much you looked up to your brother, a shout was heard down the hall.

Peaking your head out of your room, your eyes narrowed. There was Thoma, desperately trying to shoo away a spider with a broom, and a group of maids down the hall huddled together as Thoma *valiantly* swatted at the spider.

Your lips thinned, shutting the shoji behind you and taking a left. No way you were dealing with that spider, so might as well get someone else to do it, and better than anyone else was someone else who you considered as a brother.

Knocking on the door, you waited a response. Stepping back a bit as the door was opened itself, nonother by the man inside the room, "[Name], to what do I owe the pleasure?" The head of the Kamisato clan, opening the door a tad more and extending a hand to you.

Extending your hand, Ayato took it in his and placed a kiss atop of it, "There's a spider in the hallway, can you get it?" You said it so casually, Ayato had to process the question to himself, letting out an amused sigh he nodded. "Of course, lead me to it then."

You nodded and with Ayato's hand still in yours, you led him down the hall to Thoma now backed against the wall with the spider looking up at him innocently. This was the last thing the clan head expected from his housekeeper, but so be it.

Striding up to Thoma, Ayato took the broom as he patted his shoulder, muttering something as he held the broom in his grasps. Thoma laughed nervously as he began walking back to you, "Let's head back to your room My Lady, I hear you're not the biggest fan of spiders?" Your shoulder tensed a bit, nodding your head as you were taken down the hallway.

Opening the shoji, Thoma waved to you and shut the door with a quick bow. Sighing as you walked back to your desk, picking up the pen again and trying to remember where you left off. Eyes wandering around the room, it landed on your blade on a mount, sitting on the shelves.

The topic rushed back into your head like a clear stream of water, yes, you were writing about your brother. One of the strongest people you know, he taught you just about everything you knew and continues to teach you as he travels around. Pen meeting paper once again you only got the first stroke of his name done before your door slid open once again, without warning.

A very excited Thoma and Ayaka stood in the doorway, "My Lady! Kazuha will be visiting this week!"

----------------------------------------------------------

He closed the letter; this clearly wasn't meant for him, but that doesn't mean he wasn't intrigued. Looking at the address it came from, he jotted it down on a piece of paper and slid it into a compartment in his desk.

Grabbing a paper from the stack on the table next to him, he began writing back. Your life was one of the most interesting things he has indulged in for months, and being a harbinger was supposed to be one of the most interesting jobs.

Introducing himself as a banker, Pantalone began asking question that flew into his head, of what island of Inazuma did you reside? How did your clan fall apart, and what clan did you belong to in the first place? There was no name, just "Sincerely, Samurai" At the end, and that clearly wasn't a name someone of noble status would name their child, no matter if the clan was about to disperse or not.

Your brother interested him the most, just behind you. You spoke so highly of him, yet again there was no name linked to him, clearly you were writing to a good friend who you knew well. It couldn't hurt to get a little more information, could it?

"Apologies for this letter not going to who you requested too, but your story couldn't help but strike my interest. You and your brother have been through much I'm sure of it, though I'm glad you've found refuge at a new place. As I am not well versed in Inazuman culture, do you mind informing me on what I'm missing out on, I happen to be a simple banker, so I miss out on what the outside world has to offer."

Sincerely, Regrator
