I exited the school fuming, absolutely fuming. Allen and his smart ass comments irked me even more, how he thought he could outsmart me like it was no problem. The part that troubled me, is the fact that he could. Though admitting this was a whole other ball game. Not even A ballgame. More like a race, against a snail and rabbit.
My footsteps hung heavy and tough against the floor as I walked. As far as I knew, my grandfather or grandmother was picking me up, one of the two.
I busted out of the main doors, looking around fairly disappointed.
"They're not here..." I mumbled lightly as I continued to scan the parking lot at the cars overlaying the parking lot.
"Ahh, is princess dissatisfied that her chariot isn't awaiting her...?" A voice sounded behind me, a familiar and annoying voice. Must be Allen.
"Following me...?" I asked actually a bit curious, though was slightly afraid by the answer.
"I'm escorting the piggy back princess." He stated flatly and smiled to me genuinely.
"Funny, it seems I haven't met her yet." I retorted in a confident tone, peering over the parking lot again, hoping that they'd come soon. Or at least someone would. Even a taxi at the moment might be pleasurable.
"Really? Maybe you should try looking in the mirror. She's a real looker, I'm sure you'll notice her when you see her. A princess in the flesh." He smiled and chuckled lightly before saying, "You know, I could give you a ride...? Might rain soon."
I looked to the sky confused, pure blue skies. "It's clearer than it is most days you know...?" I said lightly, hoping for an explanation.
"I was thinking of what would've been a nice excuse to get to know you more." He admitted honestly, not expressing any emotion with his comment. "You know, you could just ride with me instead?" He offered as a familiar car pulled up. My grandmother.
"Sorry...but my ride is here...!!" I said relieved as I started for the car and he gently pulled me by my wrist, slipping something into the palm of my hand. "What is-" I started, abruptly being cut off.
"Just call or text if you need anything...okay, princess?" He murmured softly, somehow feeling inviting.
I nodded out of habit before running up to the truck, and hopping in, taking a few tries till I got it.
My grandmother say in wait, a soft smile complementing her grating hair and blue sweatshirt. "How was your first day honey?" She asked exuberant.
"Good, though Mister Stalker Allen kinda freaked me out." I admitted as the truck began driving away, leaving Allen with a smirk and low laugh. Either he heard, or saw me trying to get in.
"Johnson's boy?" She asked.
"Henry has a son...?" I asked recalling my parents old friends.
"Don't you remember? When you were a kid, you had the biggest crush on him. You guys were such good friends!!" She said as if I had missed something big, and to be honest, I did.
"Really? I don't remember...though there is no way I could have liked him..." I shuttered at the thought and sighed looking out the window.
"It was cute, but he's so handsome now, don't you think?" She giggled as we stopped for a red light, only two other cars at the light.
"Hmmm...it's hard to see once you can't get past his personality." I stated, not willing to admit anything about that sadistic pig. Ugh.
My grandmother just laughed at my response as we took off again, waiting a while till we got home, I immediately going to my room, collapsing on my bed as I noticed the paper he had put in my hand reading: 785-4569 Call when you need. Hah, as if I'd ever call.

The next day I awoke more tired than ever. Sure I had started school on a Thursday, so I had the weekend to to relax, though even two days of school felt extremely tiring. I still didn't get how people did this everyday, though I suppose I had better start getting used to it.I quickly got dressed, did my make up, doing a once over in the mirror thinking a black tank top, and striped jeans were enough. Throwing both my shoes and backpack on, I head out the door, wanting to walk. It was cold, though this would wake me nicely.
"Walking?" I grandmother called out from the living room as I was halfway out the door.
"Yeah, should wake me up. Only a few miles, not too bad." I stated and walked out, yelling my goodbyes as I started walking.
It was kind of bright, sunlight peering in through the trees, reflecting off of ponds and puddles. It actually did rain.
The streets were barren, almost as if deserted. The roads over used, falling apart at every turn. Almost sad.
"Hmm...what will today be like...teased or flirted with. If Allen, probably both." I mumbled sarcastically to myself trying to pas the time as I walked. I could only travel so fast, sure for my build I had long legs, though I was still small.
I continued on walking as a silver jeep slowed and kept rolling by my side. "Hey, sweet cheeks?! Road was it? Want a ride?" A boy called out with a cocky smile. His dirty blond hair short and spiky, dark eyes ominous staring down at me. Couldn't be any worse than Allen, right?
"Why not?" I called out and smiled as I hopped into the passenger seat and sped off to the school with him, horrid music blasting on full volume shaking my entire body before the jeep came to an abrupt stop. We were already here, that has to be breaking a speed limit law.
We both jumped out at the same time as I have my thanks and he gave a flirty wink as he continued on into the school, a cocky smirk plastered across his face.
Keh, seemed nice enough. I know not all guys are an Allen.
Suddenly, a firm hand grasped me by my waist, pulling me to a strong muscular build, smelling highly of cologne and mint soap.
Allen. I can't seem to shake him.
"Yes...?" I asked looking up, bored of expression. "I have classes you know..."
He look down with a serious look bolted on his face, "Don't talk with Alex, you'll get hurt. Trust me." He muttered in a cold tone, leaving my body feeling empty.
"Possessive much...?" I asked trying to shake off my feeling and smiled up warmly.
"Afraid so princess. I had dibs before you were even born." He stated mater of factly, like I'd know.
But I didn't.
"Excuse me...?" I asked curiously as he finally let go, surprisingly waving me feel a bit lonely. As much as I hated to admit it, I loved the feeling of arms around myself, and he was especially warm.
"You'll know in time. Get to class, don't get mixed up with his kind either..." He stated bluntly and walked off into the building, leaving me at a loss of words.
To be honest, it felt as though there was something more than that. Something much larger.
