Bedtime stories for kids and littles

The Stray

   There once was a little stray puppy. Everyone over looked him because he had no home. Others looked at his breed and judged him. The little stray just wanted to be loved. He would try and play with kids passing by but parents would yell and shout to scare him away. One day he lost faith in ever finding a home with a family to love and call his own. The stray pup laid in the ally way not attempting to approach any human on the sidewalk. His tummy growled because he was hungry so he walked over to a knocked over trash can hoping to find something to eat. Day after day, night after night the little stray slept outside in the cold with an empty belly most of the time. The snow began to fall and he had still not found a home to call his own. He curled up in a cardboard box to try and keep warm while he slept that night. The next day there was alot of commotion that startled him awake. A small child was crying in his ally the child looked lost and cold. The stray approached the child with caution, understanding that they could be scared and cold. The stray stayed with the boy all day and even all night. The next day the stray noticed a father in distress, he began barking hoping to get someone to come and see the little boy sleeping in the snow. The father heard this little pup barking and approached, seeing his boy sleeping in the snow he hurried over and picked up his son. The man then turned and picked up the pup taking him home.

The little stray now has a home with a family who loves him unconditionally. In return he proctects his family with his whole life.
