Chapter 3

Ayato POV

Yui explained everything to me. And I think it's more clear now. "Are you serious?", I sweatdrop at the information. But the point that the Yui standing before me makes me shiver. She was staring at me dead in the eye nonchalantly.

"What does that woman have to do with us again?", I asked. I was more focused on listening to Yui talk about her powers and stuff. Irk marks appear on her temple making me step back and gulp. "N-nevermind that! I was just joking!", she just sighed.

"I don't believe you. Besides, its best to get these information in that tiny head of yours"

'Rude', I pout.

"That woman is the sister of your mother, Cordelia. Which makes her your aunt and also your rival as of now", man I really wasn't listening earlier. I thought as I get shivers.

"Right now, if she gets with her goal on conquering your hearts. Its dead end for everyone. Once she makes you all completely wrapped around her fingers, we don't know what will happen next. Well that is just a conclusion, the organization is still thinking of possible things that may happen once they succeed with their goal"

"Okay but why us again?", I asked.

"I don't know either. Maybe its your looks, maybe its your position, or maybe she's obsessed with something you randomly did", she shrugged. "Anyways. You know too much, so either you help me or I kill you now", her eyes glowed as she tilted her neck staring at me dead in the eye.

"I don't have any other choice do I? Moreover, I think following you is the best, since I still don't understand the full situation", I scratch my nape as a cold sweat ran down my head.

My heart skipped a beat as Yui smiled at me chuckling. "For once you made the right decision", she shortly replied.

Yui POV

"Anyways, in order for the others to not be suspicious. Continue bullying me like the usual. But if you ever go too far... I'll make sure you pay the price", I smiled menacingly. Ayato nodded several times. I didn't think Ayato would be this easy to tame. I tiptoed and unconsciously patted his head. "Good boy"

Ayato's face went beet red. "W-what are you doing?! You- uhh... You!", he ran away leaving me alone. "What the heck's with him?", I sweatdropped.

Night came and I once again felt pain onnmy chest. "It's throbbing...", I murmur cursing at Cordelia and her man. I slowly slid off my bed and wore a cardigan matching my nightgown preparing to take a walk.

I walk pass the lake and eventually ended up in a place. I stare at it with dull eyes holding no shine, seconds later bats enveloped me squeaking annoyingly. I glared at the bats with a murderous intent effectively chasing them away. I march inside and saw Shu resting inside.

"Eh. Shu-kun?", I groan internally faking my greeting once again. Shu didn't even move an inch and I just stood there awkwardly holding my breath.

"Don't you feel something in you is changing?", my ears perked up. "Pardon?"

"Are you deaf? Do you really need me to repeat what I just said?", he scowled. Irk marks appear on my temple. "I... I do. I feel like something is wrong with me lately. I don't really feel like myself", I told him. He raised his eyes and stared at mine.

"Really? Is that so.. Come here", I yelp when he suddenly pulled me and caged me in his arms while holding that sly smirk. "E.. Eh. What are you doing?"

He caress my hair and moved my neck. 'Ah. I see what happening. Should have expected this'

"N-no..."  'BURN IN HELL!!'

"Nggh...", I felt that familiar sharp pain on my neck as I feel my blood flowing out in a rapid pace. It freaking hurts even now ngl. He then pulls away and said.

"Your blood has changed. The awakening is at hand", he said. 'Awakening? Tsk, I haven't been preparing. I need to inform the others. Right after this session'

"Your neck isn't the only thing flowing with blood", the next thing I knew he was already sipping blood through my wrists. 'The awakening is close. Cordelia will take over my body leaving my consciousness. I don't have anything other than my consciousness to retaliate... Wait.. The medicine. Medicine! Leila mentioned that they developed medicine for lost souls intacting other people body!'

I sigh in relief, but it did not go unnoticed by Shu. "What are you- tsk. I know you're here", Shu pushed aside the earlier question and diverted his attention to the unwelcomed guest.

"You've always been perceptive", I wasn't surprised. He was the traitor in their family and Cordelia's lover.

According to a random intel, he was the one who ripped our Cordelia's heart by her request and planted it inside me. Who was a dying infant at that time.

I was both mad and thankful at him at the same time. Because he was the reason I lived a lie. And also the reason I lived and met the friends I needed. I wanted to confront him and Cordelia immediately but the brothers will interfere and ask unnecessary questions and moves.

And importantly, I mustn't reveal my true colors yet. As they will start to put their guards up against me. Which was the sole reason why I pretended to be weak and meek.

"This is Richter. Our uncle", Shu breaks me out of my thoughts and told me his name.

Shu picks up his book and left you alone with Richter. "I apologize for my nephew's manners. I try to smarten them, but it never takes. So what is it that you wish to know?"

'Hah? What is he talking about...-'  "Ngghh..."

I stepped back as I felt that throbbing pain once again. Meanwhile Richter chuckles in rejoice. "Ah~ my darling. I can finally see you once again. How I have waited for this moment", he says.

"Now come to me"

Fuck my life. And I blacked out.
