Chapter 1

The Spins - Mac Miller

It all started at finn's party when we were still in Elementary school.

There were a few people who were there too and who I didn't know.

But did I ever think that he, the person who had such an impact on my life, was already there?

No.

Finn's party was fun and I met a few new guys including a so-called 'River'.

Honestly, he didn't really interest me that much and I just chilled with Jordan and Jayden.

Then high school came along and quite coincidentally River was at the same school as me.

My best friend Hazel already had a crush on him and I didn't understand why.

River started to become more and more of a friend of mine and he often sought contact with me.

He always wanted to see me and wanted to cycle with me but I often cancelled our plans because I didn't feel like it .

Hazel, on the other hand, only fell more in love and was also in a competing battle with Sophia, because she also had a crush on River.

As Hazel's best friend and River's good friend, I did everything I could to to bring them together.

I wanted it to work between Hazel and River so badly.

After a while .

I walked with River to his bike because that was something we always did together

and I said he was my best friend.

He was so happy that I considered him,as my best friend and that only made our bond stronger.

In the meantime I was told by Billie that she thought it was strange that me and River were so close and touchy

but River was the only person I felt genuinely good with at school and where I could be myself with.

Hazel felt worse and worse.

River constantly gave her hope but when it came down to it he backed out and to make it even worse .

Hazel had to look at how close River and I were and how much we hugged each other .

River was nothing more to me than my best friend.

I still didn't understand how anyone could ever fall in love with him.

Days passed, months passed and Hazel and River suddenly became classmates. This was so good for her, because now she could spend more time with him.

November 2021 was there and River got covid.I didn't see him at school anymore and that made me realize that he genuinely meant a lot to me.

You know what they say 'you don't realize what you have until it's gone'

okay so this was the first little chapter ,
