The next day he was back to his troublesome, easily distracted self. They were allowed to travel to the Bovington studio rink to work with the coach on the lifts so Vanessa took the opportunity to practice outside by the portakabins. She placed her phone down to record his technique as Perri started to fight the air for a reason only known to him. She reached up and grabbed his shoulders and corralled him into position then unceremoniously pulled him down so he could put his head between her legs. She was so determined to not be affected by his position, or by the power of him as he almost threw her over his head a few times as he worked how much strength he needed, that she came across as cold and clinical but it worked, by the end of the day she had both her feelings and the lift mastered.
They were both in high spirits as she treated him to a massive milkshake break at a café close to the studios. She had arranged to close the café for half an hour so it was just the two of them there and the staff who were masked. Perri had given up on the soggy paper straw and now had a milkshake tache. Vanessa couldn't stop laughing at his ridiculous face and could only howl more when he looked at her confused.
"What?"
"Nothing" she snorted. He now had milkshake on the tip of his nose too. "You have a little..." she pointed to her nose with tears in her eyes. Perri wiped his nose with his hand and realised why she was currently dissolving in snorts and guffaws. He picked up a napkin and wiped his whole face.
"You could have told me." He said grouchily, "what if a fan put a pic of me like that all over the internet."
"Sorry but at least you look really cute covered in milk." She rolled her eyes as he slouched in his seat, he was brewing up to a mega sulk. "Come on, it's not like I put it on your face." She got up from her chair and moved behind Perri. She wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. "For someone so damn handsome you worry too much about what you look like." She chastised, placing the side of her head on his back.
"You think I'm handsome?" he asked, brightening up and lifting his head so he looked at her upside down. Vanessa chuckled, she was pleased her compliment was liked by him.
"Watch it! Your head is big enough as it is!" she laughed cuffing his head. She watched him finish off his milkshake in huge gulps and look back at her with milk all over his face and wink at her with a huge grin.
"How about it doll," he crooned in a fake American accent. Vanessa squealed as he stood up, she just knew he was up to no good. She skirted round all the tables and made it out of the café but not much further as Perri whipped her around and rubbed his milky face on hers.
"Perri!" Vanessa half laughed, half screamed but he was just a dot in the distance as he ran back to the studios.
