Chapter 5: The First Steps in Training

Salem's castle sat quietly for the first time since their newest allies arrival. However, it was not silent. Around the Grimm Queen's throne room stood all of her inner circle, including the two newest additions her only arrived the day prior.

"What is taking that mortal so long? I have things to do." Black said as he paced in front of the large table that many of the others, save for Hazel who was just staring out of the window and Cinder's two lackies who stood behind her. "Be patient dear sir, she will arrive shortly." Tyrion told the fallen Kai.

"Your Master may appreciate your tone, however I know when I am being told to do something. Politely or not." Black said as he looked at the lanky man. "My apologies, I meant no disrespect. Anyone who commands such allegiance from my Queen deserves the utmost respect." Tyrion replied with a slight bow.

Black grumbled to himself but continued to pace,"I still don't see why Lady Salem lets you walk all over her." Watts said as he sat comfortably in his chair. At this the Fallen Kai stopped in his pace and turned to the doctor,"Come again?"

"You killed one of the many threats to our Mistresses plans. However, even if you killed one of Ozpin's inner circle, I do not see the need to treat you as such a-"

"Watch your next words carefully mortal or I will ensure that I escort you to the same place I sent the one you call a 'Threat'." Black quickly said, cutting off the doctor as well as creating a black and yellow ki blast in in the palm of his unclenched hand.

This drew everyone's attention to him, especially Cinder's attention. "W-what on Remnant is that?" Watts asked as he stared at the orb,"I thought you said his semblance was teleportation." Hazel commented calmly as he looked to Cinder who was also confused.

"We moved across half of the planet in the blink of an eye, we most certainly teleported. This....is just surprising." The black haired woman said. Android 21 just looked over the entire group as Black slowly dissipated the sphere of ki in his hand,"Ah that's right, this world doesn't have the ability to harness their life force in the same we do. They have something called Aura that generates a shield, can heal minor injuries', as well as something called a Semblance that is a unique ability that is either passed down by a family line or is totally unique to the person."

"I recall some of that from when I read that woman's mind before I killed her. Though the information is quickly fading since I didn't bother to dedicate much of it to memory. Honestly there wasn't much there that I haven't already heard from this group." Black said.

"W-w-wai-wait a second. Can we go back to the part where you said this world can't do what you do?" The girl named Emerald asked, speaking up for once. "You honestly think that people like us have just stuck under the radar until now? We're not from this world mortal, we come from another much more powerful and much more vast from what I can tell." Black explained.

"Yes, where we're from individuals can train themselves to harness their life energy, something we call ki, to perform extraordinary feats, such as powerful blasts that come from various forms of the sphere Black here just created, beams, disks, or anything really someone can imagine, most of us can generate a strong enough force to fly, create shields, barriers, ki constructs such as a blade. Honestly there is a nearly infinite amount of things one can do with the ability to harness their ki." 21 explained.

"There are other factors that increase ones various abilities, however their not important or relevant to a race of mortals who can't even attempt to do any of it." Black said with a smirk. Watts' expression darkened as he looked on at the Fallen Kai with anger,"You.....You-"

"Doctor. That is quite enough. Of everyone here, I expected you to mind your manners the most around our newest allies." Salem spoke up as she entered the room, the doors that led to the room seemingly opening on their own. "I-.....My humblest apologies my Lady." Watts said with restraint seeping through his clenched teeth.
